Car computer says service due in a week.. i guess because it is taking 1 year since last service even though it is still not 2 full years.. damn
Yeah I always service the car 2-3 weeks / 300-400 miles after the requirement. This cumulatively bumps you out enough to usually miss the last service on a 2-3 year lease.

Kerb "attacked" my OH yesterday when she was out in her Seat. It's through VWFS, should I get it repaired before she returns in next year or take the fine?

Take the charge from my experience. it's usually cheaper than you can fix yourself.

VWFS kerbed wheel charges are around half of what you would pay for a repair. The only reason you would pay yourself is if its still a long way to go on the lease and you cant stand to look at the damage!

Is that tyre OK? Looks like it should be all right, but if you haven't already I'd pull back that damaged flap and make sure it's not through to the cords.

That tyre looks like it could be wider. Was it supplied with the car originally? Do the other three all look like that?

My car is due back next month. There are no collections available on weekends so the car is being returned a couple days early. Was wondering will an MOT still need to be carried out as technically it's being collected before the MOT due date?

It's actually getting collected 2 days before the MOT & Contract ends as they don't do collections on weekends (contract ends on the weekend). On the email it states that the car needs to have a valid MOT and have insurance upto the date of collection. So i think its ok?

I'd call them to clarify

My missus has scraped up her SEAT in a few places and a few scratches bigger than a finger nail and a few kerbs

It’s with leaseplan

Should she just pay the end of 36 month lease charge as she’s close to it?

Also the car only asked for 1 Service after 2 years and since then hasn’t asked for another? It’s done 20k! 1.5 TSi Evo… it’s a 19 reg.

I think the vag group change about £30 a wheel, so best to leave it and pay (which will be cheaper than repairing from my experience).

Does anyone have any experience of getting paintwork repaired when leasing?

Just trying to workout whether it would be better getting it done myself or whether VWFS would charge less.

I have two marks probably about 3-4 cm near to the door handles on both back doors.

Something has been on someone’s hands at some point and has stripped the paint (I think it was the wife’s essential oils but she is having none of it).

Anyone know if the whole door would need repainted or just the affected parts?

I'd leave it myself.
In my experience the inspections are generous and worst case the penalty fees low.

Cupra Ateca I ordered back in October was due to be delivered today. Requested an a.m. delivery and insurance all in place. Well excited.

Half twelve no sign so I ring the leasing company. They said they would ring the delivery company and call me back... Fifteen mins later they call me back, apologising that due to the train strike they've won't be able to deliver it today. Bloody fuming. Surely they've known about the train strike for as long as I have, and I don't even need to get a train! Very poor communication going on somewhere.

Got it booked in for delivery on Monday now. I'd go and pick it up but it's on the other side of the country! Why don't they send them to be prepped at dealers closer to the customer? At least then they might be able to save on delivery costs as people will likely go and collect it.

The pitfall of leasing is that you don't get to chose which dealer the car comes from - so all deliveries are done by 3rd party companies.
A car can't be collected from another dealer outside the franchise.

But regardless, poor communication for you.

Lex Autolease being very proactive messaging that I've started the third and final year of my Prius+ lease, and can extend up to 5 years
Contract small print says I can have an informal extension at the same price.
Cheap as chips.

I would have thought they would prefer to have vehicles back to sell on.
