Copy from the end of the previous thread...

Moderately good deal on a 335d Xdrive:

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

9+23 8k mileage £299.99 inc VAT

In Stock
No fees

Not amazing but haven't seen better for a while.
If that deal is kosher I've made a massive mistake ordering a 330d for the same price. I'm calling bull s&£t
Quite a few have these same 335d m sports. They were very easy to find.
New Car Deals, Go Green Leasing and others all had it.
My deal is as it was advertised - 3+23, 10k miles for 386 inc vat for a MY17 car.
I ordered just over 2 weeks ago, the car arrives on Thursday.

The cars are totally standard though.
Bloody BMW, why not at least register with the MS+ pack. It only adds about £25 p/m to the lease and I'm pretty sure the majority of lessors would pay it.
I did some digging and there were 2 left in white. The difference was £12 pm and higher insurance. However that's pretty close price wise. Although I'd set my price at 350 max. If I'd let that slip who knows where I'd end up... Plus ive never had rwd so maybe 335 xdrive next time..

Those GTi golfs are peanuts. And to think a pal of mine lost 12k on a base model golf over 18 months.

So whats the best deals you guys have sourced and from who (direct or broker) for the gti.

Also would it be cheaper to get 5/8k miles and pay excess milage or get 8/10k to start off with?

Im ready to join.
Just a shame there seems to be no limestone grey metallic on the gti (am i wrong?)

I feel like the vw gti is all about the branding rather than its performance. Why not get a Cupra? (Better performance). Or get a 208 gti prestige for cheaper but same performance.

It was on an email sent today, only 5000 miles but the dealer quote posted earlier on whatcar is a bit cheaper.
Thanks bud, I am getting lost with these different quotes, was that the chap who got a deal direct with VW dealer you are referring too?

Si
Yes, I've worked out this is the cheaper deal for 8000 miles for me.

As it's a solid paint, the Black Rubin looks like its more of a very dark maroon, rather than a black with a maroon tint.

Surely you know that it simply has to be a Golf every time - every Golf owner knows that!

The RRP of the cheapest Golf S is £17,765 and no doubt available with discount. How did he lose approximately two thirds of that in 18 months?

Downloaded the Brochure and that also says GTI is 6 speed DSG... strange.

Hi again, I've just been doing a bit more research and looks like you might be right. This video reviewer claims it has a 6-speed ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZYFK7oAGj8 )... But then again, there is discussion about whether it is 6 or 7 in the comments, someone saying it is market-dependent.

If this is the case - Why on earth does the GTD configurator have 6- and 7-speed options at the same price? And why would the GTD get the 7- while the GTI gets the 6-speed?

Kumquat fisted.

Just applied for finance on a new VW Golf GTI 5dr 2.0TSI 230ps 6 speed manual in White.

1+23 contract
10k miles a year
24 month contract
£267.40 a month Inc VAT
10.8 pence per mile excess

No fees

£6417.60 all together
22.44% of cost of car by my reckoning.

Supplied by Graham at Hub Leasing. Highly recommended.

If you call him please mention you were referred by John Knowles.

I'd hurry as the White one I got was an order that someone missed out on.

Can you delay delivery on these deals? I see stable says has to be delivered by 31/12/17.

Could you say deliver in December ?

I've hopefully secured a White GTI DSG, waiting for confirmation

8k miles PA
£1000 initial + 230*23 = £6,290

They said it would be fine to delay delivery until September when my GTD lease ends.

Thanks - I've downloaded it from the Web. It shows as a purple / black, a bit like Nissan Nightshade (which I LOVE) - however the Nightshade is a metallic. Rubin black is supposed to be non-metallic (although I found a link online to the Irish brochure which lists it as metallic).
