sounds like the former was a genuine pricing mistake and the latter was a poor assessment of demand and impact to their bottom line.

there are always silver linings as nearly every good deal is a compromise in something or other.

Thanks for that, although my quote includes the Grey or Black metallic. That's all that's left from the campaign they've had over the last few weeks.

I just don't know if to go for it. I need the space and would be great to know I'm getting a car for 1st March, but my old Golf 7R hatch was soooo boring if I'm honest - the only thing I think could make it more boring is having a grey or black one!

Like I said earlier, I'm not sure if I should wait rather than rebound after the A6 debacle.

I was surprised that the deal was pulled- I did have to think long and hard about it, I didnt think it was an absolute steal as looking around the A6 was discounted by nearly £10,000 on RRP any way. However, it was a very good deal. I will wait and see what happens however if it doesnt work out for me I know there will be more deals to come.

My current garage between my wife and i is as follows;

Jaguar XE PRESTIGE 2.0T AUTO - 2017 67

Direct from HARWOODS Jaguar - Lex Autolease funding

10,000 miles pa

£176 x 23
9x initial

£5632

RRP £29295 – 19.2% of imaginary list.

Audi A4 1.4 TFSI Sport - 2016 -16 wink

10,000 miles pa

Direct from Audi dealership – VWFS funding

£165 x 23
6x initial

£4785

RRP £29,010 – 16.4 % of imaginary list

The A4 goes back in May- Looking for something much more practical such as an estate or mini SUV. The A6 ticked all the boxes however I will keep looking if the deal is cancelled (which seems to be the conclusion now!)

Passat deal appeared in the evening and the next day by 10am it was pulled... i put my finance in at 11pm, it was approved over night but i couldn't add any options onto the car in the morning because only the cars you ordered were allowed... it was a very short window to get those cars and a genuine VW admin error.

To think the Vw Passat deal was mine for the taking!! I remember seeing it but not going for it because I felt it was a big deal having one lease car at the time. I wanted to keep one owned car! They did 3 year lease deals on that Passat offer, plus it was an estate!!!

Audi A6 deal is still advertised by a few brokers .... wonder if they are old adverts that haven’t been removed or new ones as the cost is slightly higher than the previous deals

This is the thing - while the a6 deal was good it wasn’t great like the VW.

After adding extra mileage the A6 was still going to cost the best part of 7.5k.

Lex financed a jag xf r sport 2.0 Petrol a few weeks back for 10k miles and that was coming to 7.5k as well so not sure which they have to pull this deal..

I think there's more to this.

2 weeks into the deal they've kiboshed it.

If the residuals weren't right surely they would have figured this out earlier. It doesn't take 2 weeks to do some number crunching.

Its not going to be good for Lex if they cannot honour these deals, reputational risk not only with us, but with Audi and the Brokers. Lex must finance tens if not hundreds of thousands of vehicles with the VAG group every year. Audi are not going to be happy with all these A6 cars being ordered/on the verge of being ordered then being cancelled.

Which makes me wonder if there really is a problem at Lexs end? They're going to p"ss off too many people.

Could it the problem possibly lay at Audis Door?

I'm trying to stay positive but I don't think anyone's going to get one of these.

I was one of the first ones to latch onto the A6 S-Line deals a few Thursdays ago and haven't seen any paperwork from Lex, nevermind signing and having countersigned by Lex.

If anyone has please share.
