Rear passenger side seat wear tells the story, it's been a commercial vehicle. if thread doesn't agree with my "assessment" then I am leaving this corner of the internet and I not coming back.
As an aside, would any of you take a punt on this, I am quite taken by it's colour.

I think I would prefer to put my wellies on and view that lipstick red interior travelling Volvo. Obviously I jest about this matter but someone is going to fall for that nonsense with that intergalactic LS. The vendor practically admits the odo howler by not mentioning it, even with the caveat "believed genuine miles"
I suspect one of them, with an actual mileage under 50k is a car that simply does not exist.
Anyway, did I say I was leaving?

Yep, criminal and it has put me off, not an auction enthusiast and at first glance I thought it was 1.5%. Have followed some of these Manor House sales and Sotheby's they are not. They also hardly sell anything probably cos 15%. Also they have an annoying chap on youtube who goes around the lot's banging on about paint correction on motors where the paint and it's possible micro blisters are about as relevant as moving chairs on a vertical ocean liner to the potential bork that the vehicle represents. They always have cheapo Shadows and Bentleys that don't make reserve and just reappear the next month.

that's lovely, but weren't the electrical gubbins on pre facelift XJ40s just dire? Much improved with the '93 and '94 model years (when they introduced airbags, which is a dead giveaway)A very thread 1owner 60k 1989 Daimler 4.0

To do that to the seatbelt of one of those, would take either a. it's literally been lived in by a tramp who liked to sleep with the belt on or b. it's done lunar miles, which it has or c. it's actually the right miles and he has retrofitted an uber driver's interior from off a coastal scrap heap.
I had an IS250 that had 180k on it, abused by several brats, I mean children and it still looked great, until it got nicked.
If it walks like a million mile car and it looks like one, it is one.
I do not know why it bothers me so much. I think I am going to leave this thread
What did you think of your IS250? I'm pretty certain it's gonna be my next car. I'm not picky but I just want a decent SE/SE-L auto with parking sensors and the nav screen and that's about it. Local is ones don't seem to hang around for long, I've noticedI had an IS250 that had 180k on it, abused by several brats, I mean children and it still looked great, until it got nicked.

They are brilliant. Had it six years and circa 70 k miles and NOTHING went wrong despite dogs abuse, I rarely drove the thing save to take it for oil changes and I found it to be a nice steer. Get one with the Harmon Kardon radio (think SE) and with some stamps in the book and I really don't think you can go wrong. RUI488 said:
Well as a car i posted (without checking over at all or even reading the advert) has been torn to shreds i suppose i’ll have to leave thread now…
I've just posted an E23 from the 15% tax auction that I think I am due to be flogged for. Then I WILL flounce off. That Bedford van looks very well done. No mention of mileage....
