Premium? Space for a large dog?
Yes to the space, not really to the premium, depending on who you talk to...If they have a 240 I'd personally look at a 3 series estate, I was trying to offer something that isn't an SUV but almost is, if you get what I mean.
ETA - Just checked and 100 litres bigger, 450 v 350. Blimey.
2.0T Jaguar XF Portfolio (you said your daughter doesn't do many miles so I thought you'd want a petrol)

My daughter has a nice M240i and is looking to change it for a car more suitable for the dog she now has.
Dog is medium/large breed ( Beaucheron)
Price up to £25k max
She likes a nice car and is not ready for the Kia etc route so premium brand
Doesn’t do a lot of miles these days
What would you all suggest?
Cheers

My parents have a Volvo XC40 as a dog wagon. Decent size boot fits a labarador and spaniel easily but isn't too massive overall.
Seems a classier car than an X3 or small Merc etc. although these days I'd not want to write off the KIA or Hyundai SUVs because of the badges.
She wouldnt be seen in anything other than German.Seems a classier car than an X3 or small Merc etc. although these days I'd not want to write off the KIA or Hyundai SUVs because of the badges.
It'd be a shame to put a stinky mutt in one of these but oh well

to preserve the dog's joints an estate would be favourable to a SUV
Ach nonsense.....We've always had SUVs, we used a ramp with our labs, after they passed and we became the proud employees of a St Bernard puppy - he's now 15 stone - we still use the same ramp for him with no worries whatsoever. There was no way we weren't going to use the ramp, he was bigger than a fully grown lab by the time he was 13 weeks and a couple of weeks later he was way too heavy to lift, so he was trained to use ramp right from start
To be fair having SUVs with air suspension has been a bonus for past few years too
This is him in back of old defender, with ramp visible
