There are a few Caterham hire places, on road and track, but no Morgan ones AFAIK.
There was a place in Cornwall (Perranwell, a few miles from Truro, Cornwall) that hired out Morgans. Not sure if they still do.

The obvious answer is to drive both and see which one you prefer.

Caterham all day for me though

I'm sure you can hire a Morgan from the factory, unless I've misunderstood? Morgan for me, just look so RIGHT

Having been in a mate's Caterham I wouldn't want to travel further than a couple of miles in it at any kind of speed. I was picking flies out of my teeth and I needed some goggles.
No screen? Helmet is a must then.

The last time I looked you could hire a (new) Morgan from the factory but that would mean no 4/4. I think there are a couple of dealers who sell both caterhams and Morgan’s. Williams just north of Bath springs to mind so a long chat with them would be a good idea.
Test drives are essential for Morgan’s and I guess Caterhams as they are so different to modern cars they take some getting used to. Morgan 4/4s varied massively in specifications through the ages including engines so it’s worth knowing what you want.
In terms of long distance driving I did a a road trip Santander to south of Spain in +8 with a guy in a Caterham. It sounds obvious but the Mog was better suited to the GT type runs and the Caterham was a blast in the really twisty bits (but harder work on the long runs). This was especially true when our return ferry was cancelled and we had to do the South of Spain to North of France in 3 days in bad weather.
BTW. I have driven a 1995 1.8 litre 4/4 which went really well and had a more classic look than my +8.

You can hire a Morgan from the factory and from Melvyn Rutter in Hertfordshire - and probably a few others.

Good to know about the Morgan hire. Most are the wrong side of the country for me, but I'll do some digging.
