D5? Compressor hose burst, common fault, doesn’t bring the MIL light on. I haven’t driven a T4, but had no concerns over power on any V90.
Sorry, a Dacia.

I have one male greyhound and find that my Octavia estate boot is plenty big enough for him and another. That is to say that if you’d prefer a smaller car you don’t have to go for an E class sized estate, a C class sized would likely be plenty.

I was going to suggest an Octavia as well. Had the Scout model (66 plate), which was a great family wagon, and I easily managed to fit a couple of Collies in it on one occasion.

My medium sized Lab is fine with 1/2 the boot space of my C Class.

I use a Travall boot kit that I can absolutely recommend - regardless of what car model you go for.

Coming out of a 300bhp car, if you secretly want to keep the power, a Superb 280 might be the answer. Huge boot.

Also, a few £100 will see you at 350bhp…..

For 18k ? I thought they were more expensive than that.

I thought the Mazda boots were small.

For those with AdBlue E Classes are they really that reliable? I cannot get the potential bork out of my mind with those (unless you got what pre 2015 vintage ones).

Purely for boot space, then a Passat estate or Superb must be near the top of the list. Both bigger than the Dacia mentioned and cheaper than an E Class.

I've just sold my Cupra 300 and i'm after getting into an estate that will fit two lurchers.

I'm not bothered about performance, I ideally want something sensible that'll hold some value. I tend to change cars every 2/3 years.

I've had a look at black edition Leon FR's as they seem to be doable around the 18k mark, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Cheers
What about the same car but the estate version? Boot is as big as an A6 Avant and you know the car. Unless you are looking for a change.

Lots online about issue with them, I've had my 2016 E220 for just over 2 years put 20K on it to take it upto 110K and so far for me no issues yet.

It's not fast but it's a big barge, if I wanted fast I'd probably have bought something a bit more compact. That said, it does take twisty A / B roads quite nicely and you forget there is half a bus following.

E220 sounds wise. I’ll need to find one to test drive. Il need to change at some time from my ole 320cdi. The trouble is the 320 is way too unstressed at ~ 85mph. I guess 9speed 220s are just as adequate at those speeds.

Can’t decide whether 15ish or 25ish is a better way to go for keeping a motor ~ 10 years so watching this post.
