Do you mean the E55 is too small, or just that it's time for a change?
Did you find the E55 a good steer?
Thanks for all the suggestions so far.Did you find the E55 a good steer?
The rear space in the E55 is OK for the kids, but I don't want the dog on the back seat, he's just a bit too big for it.
The E55 is great, and the engine is the star of the show. I've had a fair bit of suspension work done on it (refreshing bits), and a Wavetrac LSD fitted, so it goes nicely but can also cover family duties / wafting very well too.
The vast majority of estates are as good, if not better, than their saloon brothers. Some have a longer wheelbase and most feel more ‘ planted’ on the road and, obviously they ride well with a full load of passengers. So generally, if you like the saloon/ hatch version, you will like the estate. A great pity (imho) that the market moved to suv type cars which are higher and thus more ‘ rolly poly’

Are they? I thought the extra high up weight meant that an estate isn't as good handling as it's saloon equivalent? M550i Touring? It has adaptive suspension which means it will be comfortable
