Is there any better family car than a Range Rover?

I know that you’re just trying to be a smart arse here, but as per my first post.
“We have a little electric car for the local runs, and a selection of sports cars for being sporty, so for me a family car means a big, bright rear seating area with large windows, to stop the young children getting car sick; a vary big boot for when we travel, and a car that’s just “nice” to jump in and drive.”
As nice as it is, the Ferrari doesn't really fit that brief.“We have a little electric car for the local runs, and a selection of sports cars for being sporty, so for me a family car means a big, bright rear seating area with large windows, to stop the young children getting car sick; a vary big boot for when we travel, and a car that’s just “nice” to jump in and drive.”

That car doesn't have enough swagger for this thread ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
If they did one with a nicer engine it’d be OK.![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
A bit more power and not four cylinders quite often elevates a car.

"Nicer engine" is a debatable topic. I must have had 15-20 petrol Toyotas and the only engines I had issues with were the 98-02 VVTis burning oil. Other than that I found them smooth, reasonably punchy, and very economical. So (IMHE) the engines are perfectly nice enough. they're probably a lot more reliable than RR in that respect.

Absolutely. That's the one thing that would make a potential L460 buyer switch to an Avensis....the engine. ![rofl](/inc/images/rofl.gif)

I do have a little Toyota, but wouldn’t have considered it if it didn’t have a “fun” engine. It’s their 1.6l three-cylinder.![rofl](/inc/images/rofl.gif)
