Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 4)
Discussion
Seen a lot more dealers directly quoting lease deals now, due to the surge in popularity. If the dealer can match a broker, without the fee (some large companies the fee is £360 + vat (WTFFFFF)) then they're gonna do the brokers out of business.
With my experience with leasing, it's always "8-12 weeks lead time" and as soon as you pay the fee, the broker goes quiet and doesn't reply that quickly to any emails. And the car turns up 20 weeks later.

Surely most of the really really good deals are through the manufacturer's finance arm though due to them pushing it? i.e. the deals we are looking for dealers can get too if they try hard enough? Or can the other funders compete as the cars can be bought at good rates too?
Not always the case, big leasing companies will often offer to take a large lump of cars in one go and guarantee they'll be registered within a certain time frame so will get additional support over and above what the manufacturers own finance arm will be offeredTomScrut said:

On the face of it brokers and dealers compete against each other, however as you look deeper you'll realise this isn't always the case. As I'm sure Fastbug may agree. The cars have to come from somewhere however the Brokers tends to have access to more funders.
For example in our 12 year history we have built up relationships with various dealer groups allowing their customers more options than your conventional dealer can.
Please fire any questions you have at me. I'd like to offer more of an advice service rather than just posting deals.

I have had three leasers and none of them have turned up on time! Nearest was my S5 I have now which was only a week late but given when I ordered it the original plan was for them to hold the car until I wanted it (so was about a month later than it was originally meant to be)With my experience with leasing, it's always "8-12 weeks lead time" and as soon as you pay the fee, the broker goes quiet and doesn't reply that quickly to any emails. What you need to remember is most dealers are a franchise and not the manufacturer. Dealers do commit to their own campaigns especially when they have over aged stock, which they will also push through brokers to assist in selling. However most of our campaign deals are with our large partners/funders. These are negotiated directly with the Manufacturer based on commitment from us the broker, therefore offering bespoke deals dealers won't directly have access to.
I hope this helps.

Most of the "really good" deals I remember (Golf R, Golf GTI, Passat Alltrack, S5, S4, Alfa 4C to name a few) could all be matched (or got close to) by the dealers though IIRC? But these were all manufacturer supported deals as far as I am aware, and were exceptional rather than the norm but normally the deals that get raved about on here (until they get their own threads). The two I have been involved in (Golf R and S5) have both been VWFS.I hope this helps.
Paul
Fast Bug, I suspect (well, I think I know) that you wouldn't have been able to get anywhere near the S4/S5 with a C43 because VWFS were supporting the S4/S5 and Merc weren't with the C43, I recall you may have actually said as much.
When I say dealers I am not meaning ALL dealers, just ones who want to/can come to the table with something good. And of course I aren't suggesting all deals can be matched by dealers just that its worth asking the question, which I think the topic came about by somebody saying they cannot see why somebody would go to a dealer, which later had the caveat "without ammunition" added to it. The unfortunate thing is the nature of this process though. I personally do not like the idea of getting a price from a broker as a means to then go and get a dealer to beat it. The dealer shouldn't get the business if they want to pull your pants down until you force their hand, and it wastes the brokers time but I can see the convenience if you can get a local dealer to supply the car.
Hi all, I'm considering the new s5 coupe on lease. There Seems to be a few good deals out there via brokers.
However before pulling the trigger with the broker I'd like to call up a few Audi dealers direct to see if I can get the same deal (or even slightly cheaper) without the broker fees.
Can anyone on here recommend which Audi dealers to try first?

Mine came from JCT600 (through a broker) so it may be worth trying them.

I'm on the lookout for a decent hot hatch like a GTI or R and given the talk of potential deals this week, I'd like to jump on it pretty sharpish if it does happen

Performance Golfs aren't as well supported as they have been on Volkswagen Financial Services, however we do have a good Golf GTi deal via an alternative funder.

it's a source of serial confusion for me on here that people bother with going to main dealers to price a lease.
I did, because the matched the best broker deal on the Passat (£172pm), with no fee, and they threw in a couple hundred cashback too...edit - oh and I got my car within 3 weeks as they had a load waiting to go - not sure if that would be available through the brokers - none of them offered it that I spoke to
Hello,
Lurker here who has finally seen the light with leasing rather than purchase.
Looking for a Nissan (P-) Juke for the wife (3 years 8K mpa/10K mpa) - just missed the great Visia deal from Yes Lease a while ago and now just waiting for any new quarter deals. Can anyone recommend a Nissan dealer who might better the current broker deals please?
Cheers,
ganticus

Has anyone looked into Velar business deals? I am starting to look into one today to replace our trusty FFRR 2010. Just fancy a change.
Have a look to see if our pre-ordered Velar's are of interest to you, delivery September/October at present.https://www.selectcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/lan...

If you can show concrete proof of a genuine deal you have seen, then shop around any of your local Nissan dealers, show them the deal [even if you just missed it ] and see who comes close.Lurker here who has finally seen the light with leasing rather than purchase.

Leased a Scirocco R in march this year and all the best quotes i had, were from VW dealers.
Some brokers were also very competitive, but easier and no fees going dealer direct.[I.M.O]

Westway Nisan, I think their fleet office is based in the Aldershot dealership. They're owned by Nissan and have the biggest targets to hit and supply a lot of brokersLurker here who has finally seen the light with leasing rather than purchase.
