😅 phew
I’ve got my eye on the TDI. Going to have a look at one in the flesh tomorrow at a dealership.

Went to my local one yesterday to have a look at the elegance (which is still quite nice). I asked for some numbers on a PCH for the RLine TDI, check this.
£500 on a 6+23

Quick question on business use.....

I get just over £7k a year car allowance. Paid straight into my bank account so I get taxed on it.
Will this qualify me to get a lease on business use?
Will I have to pay the vat if I do?
Is there much advantage to getting business over personal?

Thanks in advance to those more knowledgeable than me!
It can help you in securing car from BMW, as they have different rates for business and personal. No reason not to look into business deals if they are cheaper, there's no tax implications for you of any kind. You just pay standard lease instalments which are VAT inclusive.

no... it has nothing to do with business lease. Sometimes they have a stupid rule where some personal lease special offers have a constraint where the private individual needs to have evidence of being paid a car allowance... no one is really sure why. You can't get a business lease as a private individual.

Applied for arteon stock deal and just missed out last batch gone. Only limited stock in country.. gutted as need a car asap. Anyone recommend any decent 5 door cars on a 3+35 deal. Stock cars under 300pm? The market seems absoloutely dead and when a deal does pop up its gone in minutes
I’ve just FTQ on a stock GTD DSG 5dr from Freedom @ £290 on a 3+36 with metallic, delivery in 3-4 weeks.

Hi, new to forum, new to leasing. Have a quick query about delivery. Ordered a stock car through Tusker, they in turn have used lookers Audi for it. Everything is done I’m told, car is in the dealer, I’ve been given chassis number and it was registered on 16/07 and I’ve been given reg number. Tuskers tell me they’ve now told dealer to arrange delivery. Any idea how long they take between approval and delivery. I presume they do a PDI check. I need it ASAP as going away for work all of next week, and need the car. Anyone had experience of time at this stage, or is it how long is a piece of string?

So me and the Mrs are looking for a family bus to replace her Golf. Been looking at the usual SUVs/Estates.

No particular order, Ford Kuga, Renault Kadjar, Qashqai, Sportage, Tucsan that kind of thing.

Best thing I've found so far is Skoda Karoq 1.6 TDI SE Tech DSG 10k pa 3+23 £239.58/m inc VAT no fees via www.contracthireandleasing.com

As far as I'm aware this is nearer the top end of the range compared to what I can get from Ford, Seat, Renault etc. Also the DSG box and diesel engine for me has this head and shoulders above what else is on the market for similar money. This is infact cheaper than anything else I've seen on the same website and the others are petrol engined manual boxes. I also watched a carwow review on youtube yesterday and I was impressed.

We're ideally looking at 12k or maybe 15k miles a year so I will be requesting quotes for that too and also be checking what the excess mileage charges are.

Anybody aware of any better deals on this, or a dealer/broker that is worth contacting to attempt to beat it? Or something that might sway me else where? Thanks
A cheap alternative? https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/jet-vehicl...

Yeah I think anything < 25% is unicorn territory ... my old post it note had this:

> 30% bad deal
25%-30% ok deal
20%-25% good deal
< 20% bite the salesperson's hand off!
Snap! On my deal checker spreadsheet I have:

Deal as a % of RRP:
under 20% = Awesome Deal!
21 - 24% = Pretty Good (but not Awesome) Deal
25 - 29% = OKish Deal
over 30% = Poor Deal!

Absolutely furious with MB. in a nutshell, I ordered the GLE via yeslease but paid an extra 18.00 plus VAT a month to get the 2 year Road Tax and an end of August delivery as the initial allocation they had at £359.99 on a 9+23 was sold.

Apparently, YesLease have it in writing that MB would allow for an end of August Delivery, i'm now being told that I must take delivery by the end of July. This isn't feasible for me as I would then be sitting on 2 cars (2 lease payments and 2 lots of insurance) for a balls up between broker and supplier. I have said, I will gladly take the car end of the week if they indemnify the uplift in insurance for a month and the one month car payment of course they wont do this.

When I mentioned cancellation, Yes Lease got their back up a bit. The women I have been dealing with is to speak to MB and revert.

Anyone had a similar thing happen to them and is there any point in contacting the supplying dealer MB Liverpool to see if there is something we can do?
Yes Lease are the ABSOLUTE pits in my opinion, I've received quotes in the past that stated "Road Tax included for the whole duration" only to find out later down the line that it was included just for the first 12 months (Merc Ops Lease). They do this with the ads too where it shows "Road Tax included" but doesn't state not for the full duration.

I spoke to a couple of other brokers who said they'd dealt with ex-customers of theirs who were less than happy.

Not sure why the link I posted earlier for the Karoq didn't work? They worked for me?

Anyway. Graham at Hub Leasing (who provided my current GTI deal) has come in cheapest with:

Karoq 1.6 TDI SE Tech DSG
3+23
£225.35/month inc VAT
10k pa
Excess mile charge 7.2ppm
no fee
non maintained
factory order
£244.13 amortised
24% of list there or there abouts

If I can't get a better quote I will be ordering this as at present, in this vehicle category I think this deal represents the best value for money due to the combination of build and cockpit quality, SE Tech spec level in the Karoq range, diesel instead of a 1.0 petrol and a DSG box.

The lady I’m dealing with her tone changed very quickly when I started talking about cancelling and indemnities.

They seem a bit dismissive.

Been struggling to get hold of the lady at MB Liverpool too. Will try again today.

Got the quote from VWFS for extending my A6 from 24 to 36 months. It reduces monthlies from £380 to £300. Mileage goes to 21k over 3 years, excess is 6p per mile. I'm at 13.5k miles after 23 months

Given the lack of decent deals around I'm likely to agree the extension, but what are the possible downsides....

There's a service due at 2 years so that'll cost a few quid.
New tires maybe, although it had 1 x new tire 6 months ago.
No new car to play with.

Anything else to consider ?
