Just in from CVL.......

Personal Contract Hire from £281.99 inc. VAT

Initial Rental Personal £3,600.00 inc VAT

pretty awful deal tbh. at 10k miles and 3 month upfront.

£1,264.14 initial + £421.38 p/m x 23 = £10,955.88 + £180 fee = £11,135.88

List price: £36,590

% of list price: 30.43%
sounded good until someone mentioned the £3k upfront.

What am I on about? I’m pretty sure my post was self explanatory! Why so aggressive?
As someone who works with figures I delight in thorough workings out.
An admittedly expensive proposition. However people do and will continue to sign up for deals like this, especially on brand new models.
It may be a mistake in your eyes, but everyone is different!
Chill out.....
Dude. I was chill. Was just being sarcastic in my comments lol...sorry I did not make it clear, forums are difficult to emphasise meaning....😅

I seem to like a lot of CVL's deals until I see the initial payment!

Just signed up for one of the 308 1.2 gt line from Nationwide.

Been thinking about it, the maintenance cost (when compared to what I have paid on better cars) is quite high.

Can I source that myself and tell Nationwide to cancel that element ( I am in 14 days)

If so, I know of Autoserve, who else is there?

For info, maint is £35.59, Rental is £167.89
£35.59 a month for maintenance?? Can’t be £35.59 over the term either. It’s either ridiculously expensive or ridiculously cheap

Seems pretty decent for a short lease with good spec and DSG. Various profiles available.

They rang today. Orders the white. 1 +23 at 295 as quoted on website. Paid the £360. Any extra will be the new Road fund license increase which won't be much.
Hi Jon,

The website was stating £277.02 on 1+23 on 5000 miles per year was it not ?.
They also got back to me and long story short after a bit of chaos on phone quoted me £282. Tried getting them to budge, asking if anything they could do to get it down given the processing fee jumped up from £198 to £360 over the last week the deal has been on.
They wouldn`t budge nor even round down to £280 !! tongue out

As I was at work and seems like the logical replacement for the A4 at present on a good deal and right timing, I pulled the trigger.

I noticed the website has been updated and considerable price jump and no 5000 mile option on this model, so glad I got involved in time !

That's a great price if real. Showing up way more expensive on their own website.

Have you driven the 1.5 DSG before? Is it underpowered?

General lease query, does anyone know if there would be an issue with putting a dash cam on a lease car? Obviously would remove it before giving the car back but does it classify as a mod to the vehicle and could it cause an issue?

A dash cam is not a mod. You’re fine.

Probably going to FTK on the cheap Xceed deal, unless anyone has seen better?

24 months, 1 x 23
10k Miles pa
£167.99 per month
Excess mileage 5.10ppm

Fees £276

First time leasing and thought the short duration would be a good intro, see how we find it.

I thought it worked out cheaper to lease for 5k/yr then pay the mileage excess.

Weren't Stoneache's prices very competitive, plus they had no fees being a main dealer?

Better to go with Stoneacre @ £141 a month for 5K miles with no fees.

For anyone who got an Audi through Affinity Leasing how long before you got a confirmation on a build date/slot?
Been in discussion with Affinity as I ordered on the basis of mid-March delivery.

Unless a build slot is confirmed soon for February, I'm back in the hunt for a decent price "in stock" 3/5 series beemer, Audi or Merc.

23 monthly rentals of: £196.24
Initial rental: £196.24
Mileage: 8000
Processing fee: £276.00

works out around 21% I think but that's on 8K Mileage

We installed front and rear dash cams in our two-year lease vehicle. Our local installers fitted all the cabling through the headlining and the backup battery pack behind a panel in the boot. They charged £200 to install it and quoted £100 to remove it at lease end. I cannot understand why anyone would drive a new car without front and rear dash cams. It beggars belief that manufacturers still do not fit them as standard.

yeah, per month!

Local Peugeot dealer might be about to beat the quote anyway, what are nationwide like if you cancel within 14 days?

Yeah I had to, although it's painful to speak to anyone. harry.mcguire@stoneacre.co.uk was the email posted earlier in the thread.

Those guy's are right: it appears to be cheaper to take 5k miles and pay the excess, rather than pre-arrange. No processing fee with stoneacre directly. Although I was on the edge of accepting the extra £299.99 to go with 21st century leasing deal simply because they actually communicate.
