My leases have always had a min age of 21.
I can imagine that’s an issue. I haven’t looked at mine because it’s not something I have to worry about!

Finally got a new lease delivered yesterday...

Cupra Leon VZ2 PHEV.

£500 + 35x£273 from Zen. 8k per year.

Originally ordered a black one in August that was due in October, this kept getting delayed and I jumped on this one (71 plate cancelled order) which actually saved me £40/month as well.

That’s not too bad a price really! Seen a new Leon today thought it looked quite smart

I have the same with Zen... the lane assist is hazardous, touch screen fiddly if it works, also check your usb ports work as mine don't. Economy on electric poor. Rides good and looks nice though. You got a good price.. mine is £1k upfront and £286 pm on 5k mileage back in October last year in the grey colour. Hatchback vz2. Also get alloy protectors as these scratch very easily as they stick out too much from tyre... I scraped a couple already!

It’s not a question of independent servicing but the suggestion that you can get away with no service and pay a small fine of say £60. This will invalidate your warranty.
Oh, at no point was I saying don't service the car. Simply the fine for not servicing is £60, so if they take issue to my independent dealer service, that is my max penalty. Which added onto the indie service is half the cost of a main dealer service

I didn't find the lane assist too bad (not as bad as I was expecting based on reading stuff online!) but I have changed it so it doesn't default to on and remembers the last setting instead.

Touchscreen is fiddly but again, I've found it better than expected based on the online horror stories!

Will check USB ports today, thanks.

My commute yesterday was 2.3 mi/kWh (with zero effort to drive economically) which works for me as I didn't use any petrol but makes the range about 20 miles.

Was having a look at deals and my 2021 Cupra Leon 1.4 eTSI 245 DSG VZ2 at 1+35 @ £325 with 10k miles PA seems like a solid deal. That was last year right enough.

Not strictly a deal found or posted on PH, but we all like to see photos of cars we’ve all managed to secure.

I got drawn in to chasing the deal as opposed to the right car. This F56 LCI 2 John Cooper Works in Rebel Green popped up as a cancelled order a fortnight ago, whilst not the greatest of deals, it was a perfect fit for what the Mrs wanted and we were happy with the terms so went with it.

The search for a replacement car for me commences . . .
Where was this from and what's the spec?
Seems pretty cheap for a brand new jcw, I specced one up on pcp and they wanted nearly 600 a month lol

T-ROC R on a slightly better than normal offer https://centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/lease-volksw...

Or at a main dealer, potentially without a fee https://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/volkswag...

Smaller engine without 4MOTION is available much cheaper here:
https://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/volkswag...

According to this video 1.5L engine seems to give decent performance and R-Line seems to provide decent spec:

Worth noting this was being offered with 16% discount off the list price. Not entire sure why given the price of these ‘New’ or ‘Nearly New’, but I wasn’t going to argue!

I’m told it was cancelled TWICE, so sounds as though the dealer just wanted shot!

This was through MINI Vertu, worth getting in touch with your dealers locally and afar to get the feelers out, I had a number of cancelled ordered offered up to me by different dealers because I was regularly checking whether anything new had become available (none were JCW, mostly 5dr Cooper/Cooper S).

Bit of perseverance paid off!

6 months left on a 1+23 Xceed deal with Stoneacre. Looking around prices are crazy so will ask for a extension price. Whats the difference between formal / informal quote ? And which should I ask for (first) ?
I've the same car so welcome you sharing your extension price
I'm on 9+23 £105
Nothing comes close so far.
Car due back mid July. Informal extension agreed at same price £197 up to 6 months.

Interesting.

Kia have quoted me £137/month extension (5k/yr). But say they can only extend by 3 months, no longer.

That's a Brilliant price to be honest. cheaper and more miles than my Hatch from Zen. Well done.

Cant fault Zen.

Ref the other poster. There is a dealer update for infotainment system that fixes a few issues. I get around 26 miles in electric if I have to use duel carriage ways. Hopefully will go up once it gets warmer.

Just be careful if you in EV mode and try and pull away from a standing start by putting foot down it will shred the tyres!

That's an awesome deal. I signed up at £500 + £327 x 35 for 7k. I've been told mines delayed until late Aug, so said they may as well push delivery back to Sept for 72 plate, assuming it doesn't get delayed again. If I had seen that one become available up I would have jumped on it. As the saying goes "you snooze you lose". One consolation is I have a temp Captur that is working out around £230 pm if I end up having it the full year, as they didn't take the initial payment so wrote it off.

Do they still come with wireless android auto?

It’s not spec’d exactly how we would want it, but from securing it and having it delivered within 2 weeks, that was a compromise we were prepared to take, plus we were original after a Cooper S 5dr!

Spec wise, it’s an Auto, Nav, Comfort and Driver Assist Packs, with the Sport Seats in Grey/Black, Rebel Green with the 17” wheels.

Ideally would have spec’d the upgraded 18” diamond cut wheels and I thought we would have preferred it to have the red roof/mirror caps, but when it came we are pleased it doesn’t and is just all the same colour.

How do you get the lane assist to stay off after stopping/starting ? Mine always returns to on !, horrible system !
