How do you get the lane assist to stay off after stopping/starting ? Mine always returns to on !, horrible system !
You need VCDS, OBDEleven or similar, but it's a 2 min job if you have it

I am about to pull the trigger on Volkswagen T-roc Hatchback 1.5 TSI EVO R-Line 5dr DSG. This is to replace my BMW 420i coming to an end in Oct/Nov.

My BMW has a 2.0L engine. This is 1.5L.

Do you guys think this is a good deal? Will I see a huge difference in performance with the 1.5L engine compared to my existing 2.0L BMW?

Here is the link to the deal:

A bit of an ‘off the wall’ question but I’m looking for a new small car for my 17yr old.
A few years ago my eldest was looking at Fiat 500’s which were available for £99 with the first years insurance thrown in
Now I realise the world has changed since then but are there any deals even remotely like this that anyone knows about?
Sorry for the dumb sounding question, and thanks in advance...
Cheapest at the moment is probably a corsa. Mileage and term will obviously change the cost but assuming 5k per year and a 3+35 term they start at £180pcm. No free insurance though and that’s not going to be cheap on a new car at 17!
Have a look at a Dacia Sandero on PCP - that's what my son's 18 year old gfriend has gone for.

Seeking some advice on whether I have a good deal or not… this was found via WhatCar, and is with Arnold Clark:

Mercedes CLA 180 AMG Line Premium 4dr Tip Auto Petrol - Cosmos Black

9 months Upfront = £2,025
36 monthly payments of = £225
Mileage allowance = 6k per year (18k over the lease)

Any feedback, advice, or comparable deals are appreciated. Thanks

Looks good if those prices are correct?

I've just done a search using a few price comparison websites I use and the cheapest equivalent I can find is £314 per month with 5k annual (15k over the lease).

Thanks for the response… I managed to get this deal last year around September, agreement signed and sealed but the catch was the car was on order and the wait time was supposed to be 1 year. They’ve now said the car will be ready in September, but because of the time passed since I ordered I’ve been starting doubt Whether it’s worth it or not!

Thanks for the reply… I got this deal back in September 2021 and agreed it with Arnold Clark, but the wait time was a year! Now I’ve been told it’ll be ready September and starting to doubt if I should still go ahead or not! Seems like a good deal compared to todays rates but just needed the reassurance! Thanks

What are the best leasing sites to use?

Currently looking at leasing.com leaseloco and vanarama.

I’m sure there are more that other people use but I can’t remember them.

I've the same car so welcome you sharing your extension price
I'm on 9+23 £105
Nothing comes close so far.
Car due back mid July. Informal extension agreed at same price £197 up to 6 months.
Have you got the contact details for this please. My daughter is having no joy getting hers extended. TIA.

I just called the Kia / ALD customer service number 0344 600 0012 in my contract paperwork and asked about extending.
They've sent an email confirming. All terms same, mileage pro rata etc.
I'm on a 1+23 deal from Stoneacre Wallasey, model ISG3 premium white paint with servicing £197 a month.
Price for 6 months is a tiny bit different £5.42 + VAT per day. Can hand back at any point with 5 days notice.

We had a 220d Xdrive which we sold last year as offered such a good price.
Currently driving husbands A220d and awaiting delivery of an M135i this week after 11mth waiting!
I test drove the T Roc 1.5 r line, thinking it would be alright. I suggest you do the same. I took it back after 15mins of a 1hr test drive. Went on various roads, gave it some beans…. Well tried anyhow. I bloody well hated it. Couldn’t wait to hand it back to them. It was dated, lacked any ooooomph or any excitement.

I’m not sure what I expected tbh, but something more and it just didn’t give it. So yup didn’t buy the t Roc, went for the M135i instead.

Did you test drive a brand new 2022 T-Roc. I have been told there is none available for test drive.

No this was last spring, so a 2921 model. It felt like I was inside. An old 1990s polo coupe interior wise and there Jist wasn’t enough go and pull on acceleration.
I don’t know whether my thought process kept bringing me back to BMWs and the whole feel of them or Jist how much better their acceleration is because of coming from 2.0 engines.
Either way I wouldn’t be in a hurry to go into a VW after having a BMW or Merc again. Hopefully you can test drive any 1.5 VW or look inside the TRoc, but I think you will know what I’m getting at. Thank goodness our new BMW is arriving this week, it’s been a very very long wait!

We tied in last June with Sytner and they don’t even come close now.
It was a 3+35 & 10k for £363pcm inc.
Went for basic white but have sun pro glass in that price.

I appreciate it's a bit old fashioned but go to your local dealer and have a chat.

My wife ordered one in March and picked it up in April. The dealer could see what's in transit (on a boat) and allocated her a car.
