whats the best deal about on a new Aygo X-Cite 5 door. No additional options. At least 12k miles per annum? Should be in a position to take the plunge now we have moved house and I no longer need the crappy volvo I am driving.

I have just been offered a Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25 5dr in red for £131 per month all in, 2 year deal but can get a new one every 9 months - 1 mth deposit, but they pay that so no deposit. No tax, No MOT, No servicing - hmmmmm

It's a deal through my work and seems pretty reasonable, a 3dr is £118 per month. White is £8 per month extra and metallic is £15 per month extra.

Seems like very cheap fixed price motoring to me and I am sorely tempted, it is pretty slow though, but as a daily commute hack it seems to fit the bill- sell my CLS 500 and keep my 1981 SEL 500 for the car enthusiast in me.

That looks like a privilege deal for Ford associated employees (or former)... Like this example through Grose... http://www.employeevoucher.co.uk/ I know that many of the dealers are more than happy to cycle the deals every nine months or so. Some nice deals on the new Focus already!

Sounds like a good price to me. I've just signed at £135pcm + 6 deposit for the same, but with metallic paint (an extra few quid a month) and no maintenance also over 2 years.

Fingers crossed, but I'd be surprised if there's going to be much activity on Mustang deals. I guess it depends how much volume they want to shift. The best deals are on the Fiestas and Focuses. The Ecosport and other 'minority' model deals are comparatively weak.

  • You'd need to discount an Ecosport by about 75% to make it palatable to be fair...

Is this normal practice? Still awaiting my first lease.
Advert on Freedom contracts at end of September for In Stock Octavia VRS, bog standard, 9 x 23 £192, 5000 miles. Advert stated "Stock Price based on solid red, for metallic add £15+ Vat". Rang up end September and started process. Being a cheap skate and liking red, I was going for red! I was informed that the only colours in stock were metallic, no solids left, either metal grey or black. Decided on metal grey, deposit paid and vehicle ordered/secured on 2nd October I think. Told delivery 10-14 working days.
Informed a short time ago that everything is in order and vehicle is currently awaiting shipment to the UK! Am I wrong in thinking that in stock means in stock in the UK not anywhere in the world? Just checked Freedom Contract advert and its still the same, in stock, delivery 2 weeks, plus red still available. Apparently it will still be delivered in 2-3 weeks?

The Volkswagen group products usually don't take too long to arrive from abroad. So it's probably built, thus being a "stock" car so semi in stock I guess

Best thing to do if you worried is ring up freedom, ask them for an order number/SLi number (VW talk) and stick it in here to check: http://www.trackmyskoda.co.uk/

Edit: Not sure if that website is actually Skoda UK, or just some retailers. If it doesn't recognise the number, called Skoda UK customer services on 03330 037 504 and ask to know the location of the car.

The dealer it comes from may have ordered a batch for stock and they're physically built but not in the country, I used order cars like this regularly.

I'm starting a new job next week and rather than drive into a city centre, I'm considering getting the train from my local station two miles away. I'd really rather not use the 335i to drive two miles each morning before leaving it at the station for 8 hours. So, I'm considering selling it and getting a 'station car' and something for the weekend.

Citroen C1
6+23 @ £87.90 a month + £150 admin
8k miles per annum
60mpg

£2840.11 over the 24 months.

It seems to make a lot of sense!

I could spend about £6k on an S2000 for weekends too thumbup
