I've got the auto and think it works well. No regrets for forgoing the manual at all.
I don;t know the gearbox so cannot comment in that respect, just that I would think most people buying that kind of car would want manual.

That's almost certainly more than PCP. Did you consider NOT getting a Sportline? What's your budget and what would be a "good deal" for you?

Edited by beeej on Wednesday 26th September 09:35
TBH I'm not sure. I am planning on coming out of my company car scheme because the BIK and 4.5 year lease aren't acceptable to me.

My current A4 avant is due back in May but from what I can see lead times are long for VAG cars because of the hold up in testing the new engines.

I'm after a large SUV, on a 1+23 ideally. 15-20kPa. I my budget is less than £500 but may increase depending on what HR tell me my magic number is

I was thinking of the Kodiaq Sportline because I like/trust VAG cars and I thought that would get me the biggest bang for buck.

Open to suggestions tho...

If you're after one of these, try Graham at Hub Leasing if you haven't already. He was cheaper than Pure when I was looking a few weeks ago, and there is no admin fee.
Couldn't see the Edition listed on hub leasing, although I'm sure Graham could lay his hands on one.

A few months ago they had them for £199 for 1+23 then last month was £189 on 1 + 47.

Really odd pricing going on.

They will be trying to get rid of 1.4s now as the 1.5 is the one on factory order. Maybe part of it

I had a quote from Graham a couple of weeks back on the Edition, 7 seat, Auto, Diesel with reversing camera as optional extra:

3+23
£328.82pm +
£986.46 initial

Seemed a good price, but we haven't decided.

Skoda Kodiaq Edition (7 seats)

25% of list price of £34380

Looks good to me. I'm after a Sportline myself. the best I've been quoted is

1+23
15k Pa
£433 a month no fees.
30% of £34545
I don't think that these are great deals. The 7 Seat SUV market is getting crowded, so I expect better deals to be had on the horizon. VAG will have a VW, Seat and Skoda competing in this space and Peugeot/Citroen are here before you look at the premium brands. Add to this the continued pressure on Diesel, I expect that the prices will get keener if this is the fuel of choice.

Not the cheapest compared to the Q2 deals but may be of interest to someone.
Inquired about this.

The two cars they have left are Automatics, Red with bose and heritage pack (black bonnet and tailgate) - they also cost £199x23 with £1990 initial.

Agree with that.

Kodiaq Edition is a weird spec too - leather seats and electric boot, but no parking sensors. Adding options to leases tend to bump up the cost a lot, plus means you're stuck with factory lead time. SEAT usually do better spec at lower pricing so be interesting to see what lease pricing on their Tarraco is like.

What is a Gap Waiver? Does this mean that you don't need Gap insurance?

Best colour too and the heritage pack has really grown on me. The attention the car receives is quite surprising.

As we're coming into the next quarter next week are all the deals likely to change much? I appreciate this is slightly crystal ball territory by the way.

It's with all Leasys/FCA contracts. I can dig out the wording if anyone is interested but I'd REALLY rather not bring up the GAP debate again.

It's not about the car. So it's about insurance. So it's a sales trick, just like going into the dealer to do a PCP.

Erm, if you are worried about 'sales tricks', I would be more concerned that the dealer is advertising a rate they cannot actually deliver on.

I have enquired about this:

Seat Leon FR 1.5 TFSI EVO (130PS)
£229.90 1+23 10kpa No fees
£5517.60 over the term
25.7% of RRP

Whilst far from mega, I don't think there are that many cars that are as nice as this one for that sort of money?

I drove one but didnt get on with it.

I've recently collected BMW 118i M Sport Shadow Edition on a 3x36 at £260 a month with 12k miles. Streets ahead of the Leon in quality and drive.

Direct from a local main dealer.

I've had 3x 24 month leases now, at at their advertised rate, so no, I'm not worried about that.

They don't have any vehicles left that are being advertised in the email, if they ever did have any. They only have models equipped with extras like Bose Audio with a higher initial and higher monthlies.

I've been after a 124 for a while and getting the run around from anyone that I send an enquiry to.
