Anyone requested recently buyout price on https://purchasemyvehicle.co.uk/ ? It finally recognises my car (3 months till the end of lease with VWFS), but doesn't give me automatic quote. I requested formal quote by email as per website but haven't heard anything back.
Yes I got a letter yesterday and got a quote immediately. Lakim said:
First time leaser, and first car in UK.
Have received the car, but number plate doesn't show up in the DVLA database, so I can't insure it.
What are my actions?
Emailed broker, but maybe I am just being stupid
What I have done in the past is just give my insurer the details of the car like model etc, then they just ask you to update with reg when it shows up in the systemsHave received the car, but number plate doesn't show up in the DVLA database, so I can't insure it.

I'm still waiting. I think, I will have to call them. Did you get decent price?Lakim said:
Online form doesn't allow me this option - it won't go further without registration number
Do quote for model and when you choose insurance company, just call them. I never had problem with insuring car which wasn't in DVLA system yet. I always called insurer, gave them model and reg plate. Edited by PenelopaPitstop on Wednesday 8th July 09:10

no thats right unlike a PCP which would show you owing the whole debt
That's what I thought, but I can't find any rules/regulations anywhere to prove that.So at the moment, it's just my opinion vs Nissan Finance, who insist it should show the whole amount.
Any ideas how to proceed?
I called BCA to chased up purchase price. I was told they requested it on 3rd of July from WVFS and should get it today. Got email now. Purchase price is disappointing, it's practically retail price. I could buy approved used one with 2 years warranty for similar money. Manufacturer warranty itself costs around £2500 for 2 years for A8.
Document also mentions that I still have to pay all my lease payments to VWFS. I will wait until last month of lease and request another quote. If it's retail price again, they can have my car.

I have a scenario I was looking to run past you all, if I sign up for a lease deal do I have a cooling off period if I change my mind?
The only reason I say this is, I'd like to sell my PCP and I'm hoping that I'll be able to cover off the finance owed with the trade in, but I don't think the Lease deal will still be around by the end of the week.

Well, the S4 has just had its inspection and been taken away at the same time. Genuinely gutted as I've really enjoyed that car for the last 2 years.
£72 in charges for the 2 scuffed alloys. Am I right in thinking that this charge will likely be wiped as it's under a certain amount, around £136 iirc?

Hi Guys and Girls,
Quick question -
Signing up for a lease deal the document says "Please note this is a pre-registered vehicle 31/03/2020.
I have asked the finance company what it means but I thought I'd ask Pistonheads view on it. Should I ask to make sure the service interval is set from when I receive it rather than from it being in March?
Is there anything else I should be aware of before I sign up?

Take everything as being from 31st March, rather than when you receive it. You may be liable for MOT and out of warranty depending on the term you choose. Over two years you should be okay. Don't waste your time trying to get them to change.Quick question -
