Simpsons delivered for me to Beds. £80 I think it was.
On another point, seems like £2400 down is becoming standard on VW deals. Big lump up front
Yes, the larger initial seems the norm with the VWFS deals, interesting point on the delivery, I'll ask again if my dad is going to proceed. ThanksOn another point, seems like £2400 down is becoming standard on VW deals. Big lump up front

Wow. Went to look at a Merc GLA today. What a nasty car! Doesn't seem to know what it is, and the interior is pretty low-rent. Drove straight to VW to take out a Tiguan R-line. Sooo much nicer! Will probably push the button on Monday.

Did you end up ordering a Tiguan? dealer confirmed they would normally drive the car over-some 200 miles. i have to say I'm shocked that this is the norm. who wants a new car that is kind of used. The VW group used is about as far away as could be. There is one in London FFS but they used one up north. I don't really mind paying extra for a truck but that adds 4 days to the delivery. sorry to derail but my advice, ask the question up front.

To get these super cheap deals margins are incredibly slim, sending it on a flatbed could be the difference between profit and loss. All the delivery driver's I've come across are careful types so little chance of the car getting ragged.Burwood said:

I stipulated prior to ordering I wanted transported delivery for my lease with Vesource. Car travelled over 400 miles from Slough to Aberdeen on the back of a transporter, would have been miffed if it showed up with a guy in the driver seat and 400 miles on the clock.Fast Bug said:
It all depends on the supplying dealer, lease company and how far you are from the dealer. There is virtually no margin on these deals, a lot of dealers will offer delivery on a truck at extra cost if you like
I fully understand that but i asked the dealer and they said yes to delivery. I never imagined them driving it there. It's a stupid ideal and the offer should clearly state it given I have no control where they choose to source the car. Incidentally the dealer in fairness told me they could have booked it at a garage 50 miles away. Same companyEdited by Burwood on Tuesday 18th October 20:58
