BMW really starting to struggle in the UK. Its 2017 sales fell -4%. Folk are switching to Mercs, which grew +7%.

Noticed today the good M4 leases from a week or two ago have not yet sold out. Thought they would have been snapped up by now.

The i8 deal looks pretty expensive, at 28-30% of RRP for 6k mpa. But the relatively cheap monthlies put a ~£100k car within reach of someone on just ~£50k salary a year. Imagine it will get snapped up quick.

Would help if the 1 series and 7 series and everything in between didn't have the same fking copy and pasted interior design

Yeh about to replace a 4 series and any BMW looks just the same inside and fancy a change, so pretty much ruled BMW out.

Unfortunately my wife won’t take a car with the sort of power in these deals, going from a 170bhp A3 Quattro she is now a bit of a car snob lol. Luckily the A3 is bought, so no hurry to find the replacement, but always looking.

Thanks for advice.
No worries, I thought as you'd posted a deal for an Arona you might be after one yourself.
We've got one coming soon to replace a Leon 170CR diesel and was surprised at the poke in the 115 petrol. As you say though quality not quite up to Audi standards..

Have to agree on the interior....Would also help if the i8 was vaguely exciting to drive. Better off spending your money on an M2 or even the lesser m240i.

£50k a year? You're having a Turkish.

Looking for some suggestions please.

My BMW 430d GC Auto goes back at the end of March.

I’m looking for an automatic petrol sub £300 per month and around £2k initial, preferably RWD car for 24 months, mileage not an issue so can be as low as 5k.

I can’t decide on what to get! I’m hoping between now and the end of the quarter an amazing deal pops up for something interesting.

So far I keep find myself looking at:

1. BMW 1 Series Hatchback Special Edition M140i Shadow Edition 5dr Step Auto
2. Alfa Romeo Giulia Saloon 2.0 TB 280 Veloce 4dr Auto
3. Mercedes-Benz CLA Class Coupe CLA 180 Sport 4dr Tip Auto
4. Audi A5 Sportback 2.0 TFSI S Line 5dr S Tronic

Fails the RWD criteria but NVS have the Scirocco R at just 190 a month with a 2.4k initial.

Another vote for Scirocco R. Can be remapped (and un-remapped) very easily to ~350bhp and ~4secs to 60.

Totally agree on the lookalike BMW interiors, they are all exactly the same which is one of the reasons I moved from BMW.

Don’t think the i8 are selling well and do seem to be stock available. My local dealer who is pretty small and wouldn’t sell many of that type of car have 3 currently sitting about.

Oh no, no, no. You don’t want a BMW i8, you want one of these beauties - get your orders in early boys and girls. Tis a bargain.

It's radically different IME. Why would it matter anyway ?

All manufactures do this now. Jump out of an A3 into an R8 and they're are many similarities. Although as a BMW owner the Audi interior is nicer.

If you could live without Auto then this deal for the A5 sportback that Yipper posted a few pages back is pretty decent I think.

http://www.rgwcontracts.co.uk/personal-lease-cars/...

Not RWD either mind you, decent deal I think tho with no deposit.
