A slightly different example, what are thoughts on this?

I have a Shadow Edition with Pro Nav. Absolutely fabulous car.
I think pro nav is a must; you can’t have Apple CarPlay without it. And CarPlay and the apps are just such a huge improvement on the inbuilt system, I wouldn’t have a car without it.
HK is nice, but it’s still not a great stereo. You can get front/rear PDC and rear camera fitted aftermarket if you want.
Adaptive dampers are a rare option, but nice to improve the ride for boring drives.
Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 6 or Michelin PS5 are a popular replacement for the standard fit Michelin Pilot SuperSport, and both materially improve grip in day-to-day driving (especially in wet/cold conditions this time of year).
The fuel tank is a little too small, but you can still get c300 miles of mixed driving out of a tank (at 29mpg), and c375 miles on an economical long run (at 37 mpg) so it’s not awful.

If it had heated steering and lumbar support I'd be tempted to swap! Nice car. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125802246153?hash=item1...
I have a M140; whenever I get the urge to change car I can't find anything that I would want to replace it with.
My budget is up to 40k, and I occasionally find myself thinking of a Cayman, or an F-type, but I don't think my driving style and low annual mileage warrant the extra money.

The manuals seem good value for money
My 240i is a manual, I find the geabox very good but you will find reviews criticising it, I don't get that personally and when I was looking I chose mine because it was a manual, didn't want an auto. When I come to replace it next year though my next car will be an auto, simply because i'm now doing more miles than I used to and I guess i'm getting lazy and tired of sitting in city traffic. I’d definitely recommend upgrading to either version of an M2 with that budget My budget is up to 40k, and I occasionally find myself thinking of a Cayman, or an F-type, but I don't think my driving style and low annual mileage warrant the extra money.

Colour combo wouldn't do it for me. Oyster (cream) with silver would be a no.State of the wheels and the scuffed sill don't suggest it's been a cherished car.

And they arent cheap either for those. We had to put discs on the front of ours and we went genuine BMW. Even with discount they were £££s.

I love my M140i but just dont drive it any more so much so that I have had to purchase a battery conditioner. Its' covered 120 miles since last Christmas day.
I am going to sell it, but every time I think about it I remember how long I waited for the spec I wanted.... 67 plate so no GPF, 3 door, HK, Auto, Pro Nav, Adaptive Suspension, Full screen wireless CarPlay, Mineral Grey. PS4's all round etc etc.
I always try and find what I would buy next but I honestly cant think of what I would prefer. I may bank the cash and get a runaround or a weekend toy. Since the O'H picked up the Model 3 Performance early January it is just overlooked.
I guess something bigger with better ride (getting on now I am 40)
BTW this isn't a plug to sell, just detailing the spec I wanted
