Looks like a fiver a month cheaper going direct to Lease4Less, unless I've missed something.

Where do the leasing companies source these cars from as when I show these to Volvo dealers they just shrug and can’t get close!

All of the Volvos I have enquired into via various brokers/dealers have been through Santander.

Do you guys (serial leasers) suffer from any sort of lease anxiety at the end of contracts? I mean, surely you must have some degree of overlap or a period without a car in between leases?

Or is it easy to just walk from one car into the next?

I’m walking in to my fourth lease in a row. Each time I have made sure that I had the date required in an email for them to send the proposal back.
Then when the dealer emails and asks if they can deliver six weeks before I want it I just tell them the date I need it delivered, if they say no I refer them back to the broker.
Once I had to get the car a day early, because the anniversary date was a Saturday.
Does that count?

Reminder to people who are new to leasing: there is very little point going to your local dealer. They're finance salesmen. You might get lucky and the dealership might have a fleet department. But still... why go and talk to these people? What are you trying to achieve? Do you trust people in car dealerships? Cmon.

One of the reasons that PCH is typically cheaper than PCP is because it cuts these people out.

I learned a couple of lessons on my last changeover - which in the end was fine:

1) Swapping on the same day is a ballache with insurance and stressful when your collection and delivery people wont commit to a 1/2 day window and just say they'll be with you on the day. Arguably predictable but there you go I wont schedule this way again

2) When your new car arrives over a month early than agreed/predicted and the company *cough* Volvo *cough* set the service schedule at arrival at dealer not PDI or collection by customer and so on a fixed yearly servicing mandate you're screwed in terms of gaming it. Having said that my lease is 18 months so no issues. And who besides Volvo insists on fixed yearly servicing anyway????

Cheers

Mercedes are fixed yearly too... it’s a scam to make more money in my eyes.

If you know when your lease is up then you can normally time it pretty well. I might have fked up this time...was holding off way too long for a factory order looking for something decent to come up. Was close to running out of time so thought I’d just pick up a stock car close to my lease being up.

Then the deal on the model 3 came up. 2 1/2 months from order till my current deal is up. Who knows, maybe it’ll happen.

Has anyone leased short term on Drover or Carpe? Just looks so expensive per month, even if it’s only a month or so.

Pretty sure the lease cos give you some leeway too though as they know it’s a problem for people.

Evening chaps
Torn between the seat Leon fr
1.5 tsi manual
Or
2.0 tdi dsg 150 Leon.
I do 10k-12.5k a year
£40 separates them, will the diesel dsg be that much better in fuel than the petrol?
It’s for commuting only not bothered about performance.

Typically, do we see deals on cars that have a new model out in the relatively near future?

For example, I’m a big fan of the BMW 4 Series, having had a 430D GC before. It seems early 2020 might be when the new model (not a facelift) is released so I’m kind of hoping to see some deals on the current model between now and the end of the year.

loads of deals on them for months. PCP went big early on this year if I remember and you can get the 2.0d on lots of leasing sites for decent money.

Does seem to be less of the higher end around though.

this is with VWFS, its £6554 as its a two year deal.....i will ask about dsg, the petrol was also cheaper than diesel (and quieter) what were the issues with the 1.5? also if there were some couldn't simply send back and get a courtesy car while they fixed it?

looking at vw tiguan 1.5 petrol match model.....

5000 miles a year 1+23
£758 down
£252 a month

all figures inc of vat......

what do we think?, to be honest have being beaten into submission looking for stuff, we currently have a tiguan so look at replacing with a new one etc.....
8k over 3 years for the same money with VWFS

For £10 a month more you can go for a 2.0 Diesel or the DSG on the petrol.

Have the issues with the 1.5 now been resolved? If not I would opt for the derv and recover the extra cost at the pump.

i disagree. When i got my S90, i went for a test drive, then showed them whatcar.com. He made a couple of phone calls then came back and matched it.
And as it was a sale to them, they were brilliant when the delivery was slightly delayed - they loaned us a V60 off th eforecourt to do 500 miles in over Xmas to bridge the gap.

No idea how the brokers get them so cheap but you've got to love it. Incidentally, Leaseloco have the car at £265 now so maybe the price came down after I sent that?

Couldn’t disagree more with this! My Volvo was ready on May and I told them I didn’t want it until July, my first service is due now. I also swapped on the same day. I picked a gentleman up from the train station in my old car, drive home, he checked the car over and my new car arrived as he was doing this. Off he went, new car inspection was done, drove the guy back to the station! Easy as that!

To the OP, you can always informally lease for an addition 3 months at the same cost.
