Do you guys think this is a decent deal or am I throwing my money away?

For me it seems pricey.Merc CLA220 AMG Line Premium Plus

But watch the CarWow review of the CLA on YT. It wouldn't be on my list on the basis of terrible rear space, weird front headrest angle and the scratchy plastics used around the cabin. YMMV but I'd choose the hatch A class on practicality.

- New Member - Thank you to all those who continue to share these amazing deals ***
I wouldn't call them upgraded alloys, as they are free to change on the online configurator. I think I would have preferred the standard satin dark grey wheels tbh.
I'm kicking myself for not getting the maintenance pack. It was only an additional 10pm with 100 upfront. Would have broke even with a tyre change. Unfortunately I requested this after the finance was approved and in order to add it, they would have to run through the finance again and ultimately lose the deal.
Hoping for an end of September delivery.
Deal was:
Velar HSE R-Dynamic D180
Metallic Paint
Privacy Glass
9/23 8k miles
£374/m
Pinkleasing were fantastic to work with, highly recommended.

Been speaking to a few dealers as Misses still wants a Leon. So been looking at FR black editions.
Prices are all over the shop.Few dealerships seam to be doing cash back to try and get the price down. But still seams to sit around £220 a month all in.
Which dealers you found to be best? Also looking for something similar on a 1+24 and 10k pa.Prices are all over the shop.Few dealerships seam to be doing cash back to try and get the price down. But still seams to sit around £220 a month all in.

How much extra for Metallic? The standard paint, energy blue, is horrendous on this car.
There are better colours for sure, but quite pricey to get metallic. C£15 extra per month. Really not worth it for our Karoq. Can get an electric boot and other more important extras for that. You sit on the inside when you drive it, not outside it.

I've just ordered a Skoda Karoq 1.6 TDi SE Tech DSG on a 3x23 (£806.32) at £265.78 p/m on 20k miles.
While the percentage isn't fantastic at 27%ish, it's still a good deal compared to what I was quoted by some brokers/dealers at over £300 p/m.

I'm in the market for a Karoq in the next 6 months (potentially with options like Keyless / electric boot and over 10kmpa) so would be really interested to hear how you, and others, have got to the point of negotiating on price (or spec? or mileage?)
Thanks

I'm interested that you said you "fought quite hard to get it at that price", because every time I've spoken to anyone about a lease, with brokers I've always basically got "the price is the price, get it while you can" and with dealers I've basically been laughed out of the shop when I tell them the prices I've seen online! I've never even got close to an opportunity to negotiate a price down, albeit I've only leased two cars, a Honda and a Vauxhall.

When going into dealerships speak to someone who's within the fleet sales department or, if speaking to someone on the sales floor, make sure they deal with contract hires. You won't get laughed out of the shop as much then.I'm in the market for a Karoq in the next 6 months (potentially with options like Keyless / electric boot and over 10kmpa) so would be really interested to hear how you, and others, have got to the point of negotiating on price (or spec? or mileage?)

I've found the best option is to phone, ask for fleet sales, ask for a PCH quote, tell them the cheapest you've found, they may match/beat the quote. Optional extras are very hard to negotiate on, you are likely going to pay the cost of the option over the PCH term.
Find a decent trim/level with the optional extras included which is on offer. Time is on your side here and patience is the key to getting a very good deal. When the deal/offer feels right, go for it.
Other 2 things to potentially negotiate on - tank of fuel and service. Ask for a free tank of fuel and/or a free service. They might agree to one or both, or offer half a tank/half price 1st service. Don't ask, don't get. Just remember margins are low here for the dealerships, so don't expect them to say yes. Think of it as a bonus if they do offer something - even if it is just a bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates upon vehicle handover.

Hey not sure if it will help but I got my Karoq through whatcarleasing. Put in an online enquiry and the dealer called me back. In the end they actually made a deposit contribution on top of the quote as I gave them the next nearest quote I’d received and they wanted the business.I'm in the market for a Karoq in the next 6 months (potentially with options like Keyless / electric boot and over 10kmpa) so would be really interested to hear how you, and others, have got to the point of negotiating on price (or spec? or mileage?)

Mine is a 1.6 TDI SE-L spec in petrol blue
And for 8k miles a year I’m on a 3+23 deal paying 291 a month. The spec is great, no electric boot but keyless, heated seats and sat nav etc
Dealer was Derek Slack Skoda, good to deal with and delivered car to my house on a truck for free despite me being in London and them in Middlesbrough

Thanks, I wanted a Velar P250 or P300 with an 'S' spec or better so wouldn't have gone for the deal anyway, however it's good to know that they do come around occasionally.
As I don't have a car at the moment I think I'm going to go for a Q5 45 TFSI Black Edition with Tech Pack just on the basis that they are in stock, within budget and I can have a car in 2 weeks. It's only a 2 year deal and I assume that if I get my backside in gear 3 months before it's end date I can get a good deal next time around.
I had a good quote for the A6 Avant 45 TFSI black edition with tech pack, however they are quoting 12 weeks delivery. Having looked at options for 28 day leases I'm not willing to pay £500+ per month for an Octavia VRS or Golf GTI for 3 months until the car I want turns up.

I essentially got about 15 quotes on the car for a comparison. Contacted the main dealers in my area (which came out more) - went back to them and said that I got a cheaper price here, but I'd rather go through a dealer, attached the quote and they matched it - means I'll have to pick it up from Cambridge, but that'll cost me £7 on the train compared to an additional £300+ or whatever over the course of the lease.I'm in the market for a Karoq in the next 6 months (potentially with options like Keyless / electric boot and over 10kmpa) so would be really interested to hear how you, and others, have got to the point of negotiating on price (or spec? or mileage?)

Most dealers went down to the price per month, but still included the admin cost, but I found a broker which didn't charge one, sent it over and matched it even better. He apparently had to go through VW Fleet in head office, but was approved.
Should get a build date in the coming week hopefully.

Even on 10,000m its only just over 200 quid. Stupidly cheapCheapest Leon Cupra amortise at £300 pm on 10k, I’ve been doing a lot of ringing around and nearly bought yesterday but diverted to an Arteon instead. Same money, slower, but otherwise significantly better car.
1+23 £292 10k miles direct with VW dealer (well... I added white paint as I couldn’t stand the standard urano so 1+23 £308)

Thanks for the negotiating tips folks!
Just to add to the discussion:When going through dealer if they match an online price quote, they will sometimes compensate the difference via a cheque rather than building it into the actual quote and monthlies.
Luckily I simply cashed in the cheque against my credit card so the net monthly remained the same. If you don't have that then you will have an inflated cash balance and more will go out per month...

Like-for-like comparison based on a 3+23 term, PCH with 8k pa.
VehicleSavers @ £275 per month
Leasing Options @ £254 per month
Also, Leasing Options admin fee is significantly cheaper. I assume 10k pa will be cheaper too compared to VS.
Only caveat is that the Leasing Options deal (supposedly) ends today.
Don’t have links only my spreadsheet. Amorts include fees:
Pentagon seat £301.63 1+47 10k - £301.63 amort
Nationwide £277.54 3+23 10k - £308.91 amort
Lease comparison £274.26 3+23 10k - £309.57 amort
They were the 3 best I had. Most had White in stock otherwise Nov/Dec delivery.
Lease comparison was with ADL Finance and quoted a 5ppm excess charge which was cheapest by some margin.
