Yup, you'll have to do the sums, but it's all about the total over the term IMO - how much deposit to put down is varies depending on personal circumstances or preferences - the email was full of 9+ and £2000 deposit deals which I didn't bother to post, but those two looked ok.

Just posted this on the EV section of Pistonheads, but thought it might also be of interest here.

There are some excellent deals available on the Nissan Leaf at the moment. The deals are based on cars delivered before the end of this month, so you would need to be quick.

I ordered my car yesterday and delivery is in 2 weeks, so there is still time.

I was originally looking for a deal based on £500 deposit and £150 / month based on a 2 year PCP deal. Nissan appear to be inflating the RV, so they can hide some discount in there. Because the RV cost is so high, at the end of the 2 years, I will just hand the car back, so in effect it is similar to a lease.

In the end I decided to increase my deposit in order to reduce the total cost of the 2 years of the agreement (I think it saved around £100 in interest).

Deposit = £1800
Rental = £95.78 x 24
Total payable for 2 years = £4098.72

All prices include VAT and are based on a personal PCP contract, not a business/company arrangement.

This is based on 6000 miles, buy/buy, 3.3kw Tekna, flame red. There was no other admin fees on this deal e.g. no £150 at the start or the end.

The Tekna, for people not familiar, is the highest specification version of the Leaf. It comes with leather, sat nav, bose stereo, all round camera, heated heats and steering wheel etc. Basically it is a nice spec car.

The dealer I chose was Matt @ Shepperton, WLMG, who was excellent. However, most of the dealers I spoke to spoke with were happy to do similar deals; it depended whether the dealer you were speaking with had met their quarterly Leaf target from Nissan.

Yes. £80/2 years for full cover.

why do you need gap insurance?

Because the lease company want to buy a brand new car, the insurance company will pay market value for a however old car you have, there WILL be a shortfall, so you cover your ass.

Gateway2Lease have offered it me but its £150 for 2 years cover up to £10k.

Alot of people use ALA here.

Any updates on the VXR? My cooling off period ends on the 14th .

Ala and Easygap will both price match each other. Ala seems to be the most recommended. about £84 for 2 years and £10k cover

Got the finance docs through today and then it's the cooling off period and 5-7 days after that for delivery

Just gone for a B-Class for the wife. Big boot for the pram and other child based goods, but not overly large on the outside. Complete marmite car, but for the money, its good value for 2 years of trouble free motoring.

Hi all

Been offered a bmw 4 series coupe M sport 420d with sport auto & metallic paint 10k pa

Essentially 6 + 23 which is £2148 up front and £358/month = £10,382

Need to check the excess mileage rate but think it's 7p/mile and there is no admin fee.

Welcome comments on how good this is please. I know there are C class coupe merc deals but it's a bit long in the tooth so not interested ...... Any alternative suggestions ?????
