Likewise :-) .. tbhbthere are some deals about for both saloon and hatch, but not quite at my budget...yet.
My problem is I think it looks a bit boring / rubbish without the 2.5k AMG styling pack which is like 100pm extra!

For those about to hop in to a Cupra, or looking at it. My costs over a two year lease have been:

Expense:
1st year service: £199.
Front tyres (7.5k/14 months in): £144 per corner.

If you're on a 24mth lease find out when the latest date is you can have it serviced and book it for them, should give you some wiggle room at the end.

Issues/Obs:
Clutch is crap for manual, can't take the power.
Developed a few rattles in door skins.
Road noise, not the quietest car.
Soundaktor (disable or snip it).

Otherwise a decent car with a lovely engine if slightly disengaging at times. Like any car with FWD/300bhp in the wet with the OEM tyres, it's wheel tramp city. I'm sending it back probably in need of new discs, new pads and certainly a new clutch on top of its 2 year service, and probably 3 months away from needing 4 new tyres.

On that basis I wouldn't recommend a maintained car if you're taking a 24 month deal.
Couldn't agree more with this. I am coming to the end of a lease on a manual Cupra and the costs during the lease have been minimal. I've done 22,000 miles and its had a set of new tyres and £300 for two services! Not a perfect car but plenty of power when you want it and a very comfortable vehicle to travel in when you don't. No surprise that I have just ordered another one!

Need to replace the family Tiguan which is going back in a few months. Thoughts on this Evoque deal? The Tiguan was 2wd manual 150bhp so this seems like a decent swap?

£266 6+23 10k, no additional fees
Any other thoughts on this one before I order? Can’t find anything better to replace the Mk2 Tiguan which is going back in a few months!

Have you been in an Evoque? The biggest smallest car I've ever sat in. Pokey interior space, yes, nice on the eye but useless capacity.

This is a good deal I reckon and a nice car to boot.

Cheaper if you go for the 18 month term instead of the 24 months

Wish you could get the estate for that sort of money.

I second this. I got one and we had a baby while I had it. What was an ok car for me and the wife because useless when you have prams and stuff. Also so average to drive.

Hey All,

I've leased a couple of cars in the past and have always managed to find good deals. but this time i have been unable to find a decent deal to replace mine in March 2020

My previous 2 deals (6+23 & 10k Miles incl Maintenance)

Audi A4 Sport 1.4TFSI Manual - (£220pm) total cost - £6380

Audi A4 S Line 1.4TFSI Auto with Tech Pack (£255 pm) total cost - £7385.

Is anyone aware of any good deals on 10k/12k miles on a 24 month contract with or without maintenance:
Audi A5, Audi A6 (S line)
Merc C Class saloon/coupe or E class saloon/coupe (AMG Line)
Bmw 3, 4 or 5 series (M Sport)

Thanks in advance
I'm looking for a Cupra replacement and need more space so looking at saloons and estates.

Struggling to find anything intersting to drive with 250bhp+ for max £300ish. Got a qoute with leasing options on another Cupra non-lux @ £304 on 1+23 with 10k miles per year, just wish the ST was this price as I wouldn't hesitate to go for that with the bigger boot (even if could choose no 4motion to lower the price).

You may be interested in the best option I found so far - VW Arteon SE 2.0 TSI 190 direct with VW. £293 on same profile and miles as the Cupra qoute above.

It doesn't look as good as the R-Line and have to live with cloth seats, no virtual cockpit, urano grey and basic parking sensors. Also given it's size/weight and engine I wouldn't expect much fun or driver involvement. It does still have a pretty decent spec though such as ACC.

Not signed up yet as half hoping for a better and/or cheaper deal...
I'm in the exact same situation as you... Cupra going back in a few months and also struggling to find anything intersting to drive with 250bhp+ for max £300ish.

Delved into the world of EV by signing up for a Tesla Model 3 Performance through my Ltd Company. £551 plus VAT, 3+23 through Select.

Not a particularly cheap deal compared to other cars, Select were just about the cheapest and very good to deal with.

Should take a month or 2 to arrive, but need to allow for Tesla's chaos probably.

450bhp and 0-60 in 3.2. Will leave my CLS63 AMG for dead, and costs 80% less to run.

No benefit in kind tax for 2020/21.

May as well enjoy the cheapness while it lasts!

Thinking of going for a personal lease on a BMW i3 (probably the S model) - would be my first lease and first EV, so any advice gratefully received!

£348.24 per month (6 + 23) + £199.99 on the below - looks pretty decent to me - any thoughts?

https://www.allcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/bmw/i3...

Or alternatively, for the standard model (looks much better value to be honest) -

£295.20 (6 +23)

We looked at the i3 and my wife liked it, but with a bit of budget creep you can get into a base Jaguar i-pace or Tesla Model 3

Especially if you start to add options to the i3, the higher specs of the i-pace and Tesla can make compelling cases. Teslas can be had for under £400 on the terms you listed above.

Have you seen the e-Golf deals about, some stonking deals.

Not dissing the i3 by the way, cracking car, I just thought I'd highlight our recent experience :-)

Not my sort of vehicle but it may appeal to some.

Seems to be about 17% at RRP unless I've borked the maths

New! Peugeot 3008 GT Line Premium 1.2 130ps 5dr Manual
• Air Conditioning
• 3D Connected Navigation
• Glass Panoramic Sunroof
• Front & Rear Parking Sensors
In Stock Ready To Go, Sunset Copper Only
£187.99 + VAT per month
Initial rental: £187.99 + VAT (1+17*)
Customer to maintain
10,000 miles per annum

That's with ukcarline.co.uk. No fee is mentioned on the email I got but there may be one..

'Sunset Copper' sounds like a retired policeman
I am surprised this has not attracted more comment. This is £225 per month amortised for the top specification of 3008, a car which has had good reviews generally in the press. The offer is not online, but i have received confirmation it is genuine from ukcaronline.co.uk.

I'm not going for it, because I don't think I am ready to give up the extra 187bhp of my current steed!

Thanks, that's really helpful - just looking at e-Golf deals at the moment!

I wouldn't be adding any options to the i3 to be honest, standard kit is enough, especially given that the newest car I've ever owned is from 2008. And a Fiat Panda. It'll feel like I'm literally in the future biggrin

ETA - The problem is I don't actually want an e-Golf. Just because it looks, well, like a Golf.

In need of some advice about VW lease and returning vehicle!

I have a Golf GTI being collected by BCA on Friday. Front left tyre (nearside) has a nail in the shoulder which by law is illegal to repair so looks like I might have to swap it out before collection.

I have the exact same model and brand tyres (pliot sport 4) on all corners, do I have to replace it with another pilot sport 4 or can it be any “premium tyre”?

Park the car so the nail is at the bottom. Who is going to inspect the tyres, roll the car half a tyre circumference and then reinspect them?

My fingers are crossed as also getting a car inspected today and have a bit of a scuff on one of the wheels - this scuff is most definitely pointing downwards.

The right thing:
Replace the tyre with something of the correct size/profile/speed rating. It doesn't matter if it's a budget tyre.

The wrong thing:
Use a sharpie to colour the nail head black. Ensure the tyre rotation is suitably obscured by the ground when BCA arrive. Save the hassle/expense. If they call you back about it on further inspection I suspect the nail was a product of the BCA driver taking it back to base.

The option thing:
If there's decent tread left on the tyres, if may be worth sticking 4x Nankang/Chintyre on it and selling the 3x Mich tyres.

  • Assumption, you've known about the nail for a while but continued to drive on it as it's holding pressure, and that you accept there's a risk to whomever picks it up. No judgement cast.
