Do you have loins of plenty, like the Speckled One?

And/or

Are planning a trip to a well known Swindon outfitters, to purchase parsnip pouch short shorts?

Then this is the car/Elgrand for you....

By any definition that is one ugly car, representing a fecund lifestyle I don't much want of hungry offspring and sticky fingers, but I find myself loving it.
Guy who runs my ex-band recently got one of these for band duties. DKR interior. Says he loves it- but also that Inverness to Lanark return trip is typically £140 in fuel.

Back of fag packet maths suggests about 24 to the £9 gallon ish? These things were popular with LPG converters to make them a bit easier to live with cost wise

That is not just any grand, that is Elgrand.

The can be only one name for a person, who is willing, capable, man enough to drive an Elgrand.

El Macho.

Just catching up on thread and enjoying the fashion shoot until a horrifying realisation dawned on me.

I was worried there may have been a peek of scrotum. This accidental flash of the forbidden has ended badly for some.

I am happy to conclude that after spending most of the morning zooming in and enhancing pixels using advanced Israeli forensic software, the boys are, as Alan Partridge once quipped, back in the barracks.

Thankfully, I will not have to be reporting the post.

That is a relief as I really don’t want to have to look at those pictures that closely!

Yesterday I followed a Toyota Vellfire V6. JDM rear number plate shape. Looked like a similar sized thing. Anyone know what they are?
I presume the Vellfire is just a variant of the Mighty Alphard.
Those are available with a Lexus sourced 3 litre V6 sporting 220BHP.
In-depth research on the one I had indicated that they have no lsd on the driven front axle enabling comedic levels of single wheel wheelspin on demand.....

Yesterday I saw the photos of you fellas in hotpants, today I'm being referred for an eyeball condition.

I'll be filing my compensation claim with whoever owns this web site, Steve Jobs I expect.

AAUI (and it gets bloody complicated) the Vellfire is the youthful, sporty and sexy version of the more staid, sober and plush Alphard.
(all the above adjectives are very, very relative)

Same body but different bumpers/grilles/wheels and interior trim.

Vellfire is sort-of the Arnage T to the Alphard's Arnage R if you insist that I stretch things way past the point of credulity.

Do Nissan and Toyota do joint venture models?

Alphard and Elgrand are completely different cars, but as far as I can tell, they are aimed directly at each other.

I love a point stretched beyond beyond any semblance of credibility, and yet simultaneously entirely convincing. Nice wok old fruit.

Would be a shame to ban Fouex just on the basis of those shorts, although people have been banned for less skimpy attire. He has brought life to the thread again. Great job with the Audi, puts me to shame given I have been *thinking* about washing the car for weeks, but no more.
What can I be banned for? Having fun with a thread appropriate car and wearing what I want? I don't think I've even written a swear...

I am positive there isn't. The very concept of these shorts us (as well as their bargain price) their excellent containment measures.

I like this thread and these cars and don't want to ruin it for anyone.

If you look at the back of them it's clear they're not a JV.

The Alphard/Vellfire is a thing of utter beauty whereas the Elgrand was clearly 'designed' by the people who are now committing crimes at BMW.

TBH I'm not sure which of the ElGrande and Alphard looks the more hideous. Thankfully if you need a sliding door petrol 7 seater MPV you don't have to accept such fearful styling as you can go for a Honda Elysion which is another direct competitor and looks at least vaguely "normal". Less common than hens' teeth though.

Elysion is by far the best looking, no argument there.
