I think they are one of the most ridiculous things on current cars, saw a bloke with one yesterday, it took him longer to open the boot than it does to open and close one manually. Complete waste of money.
Largely agree apart from two caveats:1) If you have gesture opening (kick to open) and are often loading/unloading, I guess it can make sense.
2) If you have a composite boot combined with strong springs (as on my 6GC), which has a habit of popping open when you try to slam it shut (particularly on a wet day when you can't get as much purchase on it).

I like electric boot lids because I've knackered my back and it's so easy to push the button and walk away. If you do that they're no slower than a normal boot, and save you the effort. First world problems and all that, but there you have it. It is, I believe, possible to fold one's own wing mirrors in too...

The point is you can open it from a distance with the key so that it's already open when you get there - no waiting. Then you just press the button and wander off while it closes - no waiting.

Our 335d went back last month. Two wheels had 4" kerb scrapes and the underside of the front bumper was pretty chewed.
£201 in total which I thought was OK.
And that £200 obviously went straight to Network's bottom line as it's now appeared on Autotrader at a back street dealer with new front and rear spoilers, side skirts and 20" wheels.....£201 in total which I thought was OK.

That shouldn't bother you as it makes no difference to you, only to the next 'buyer'.We all know the T&C when we sign them.

But I guess the point is the damage detracts from their bottom line. So wether they repair using that £200 or sell as is and use the £200 to compensate the bottom line remains the same. Hi Guys,
I have come across this deal and seem interested.
Can anyone let me know if this is a good deal?
Is this due to a face-lift model soon due?

It is with Arval financing. Has anyone dealt with them before...
I just done a quick online search and am reading some real horror stories.
Would appreciate any feedback.

Can't remember if I posted this already but if anyone is looking for a GTE it's 5/6 months delivery now unless you get lucky.
Seems to be the same time frame for c350e /330e and GTE. Suspect all the noise regarding diesel being evil has pushed more people towards looking for an EV option.Burwood said:

C Class facelift is due end of Q2, I believe it will be revealed at Geneva in March but don't quote me on that. I know there will be a few new engines being introduced, but beyond that I have no clue
Assuming it has the new digital cockpit too?Yipper said:
Women like electric trunks / boots when they are juggling babies, kids, shopping, rain, heavy boot-lids, etc. Men like them as status symbols or shiny gadgets (sad, but true).
You're getting annoying now. You were funny to start with, but now not so much. The novelty factor has worn off, if you like.https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...
