Has anyone seen any decent Merc deals on the A Class?
Best I can get so far is £3k up front and 24x £261 with Select Car Leasing for 5k miles, option paint, wheels & premium pack
Thats circa £9,264 over 2 years, seems expencive to me

Spoke to a friend who works for Affinity and he reckons prices are going up not down, that will be the same for April when the Road Tax goes up, because PCH includes Tax for the term it will push up monthly figures. ??.
As for the A Class, have seen a few sub £200, depends on your spec and requirements etc.
I'll be honest, I don't think prices are going down in the short term. Anything with a list price of £40k + is going up by £40 a month just for the tax come AprilAs for the A Class, have seen a few sub £200, depends on your spec and requirements etc.

Yes, I mentioned the S5 because I think it is worth every penny of the circa £1k over the S3, on base spec alone (and instead of a £34k RRP car you get a £47k RRP car). The sportbacks are cheaper than the coupes on lease, and they are about £800 dearer than when I ordered mine.

You make a valid point - I do think that the S5 sportback is definitely a heck of a lot more car than the S3![

hi guys, thinking about a dico 5, could you let me know your thoughts on this deal as i'm no expert and have never leased a car before:

9+35 8k Miles p/a

£23k for 3 years? I know Land Rover very rarely support any lease deals but that is really not good at all. XC90 is readily available at approx. £10-12k over two years, probably £16k over 3 and I know what I would prefer...

Not 100% certain, but I'd expect the outgoing model to come down in price as the G30 deals ramp up, especially for in-stock vehicles.
Then again, the 535d is pretty rare, so not likely to be much stock around I'm guessing, also depends on how urgently you need the vehicle.
EDIT: Again, another curveball from the post above, depends on delivery dates! If its after 01/05/17 you'll get hit, but if you can source a vehicle in stock then it should be okay.
Right, so what you are telling me is it could be cheaper, but then again perhaps not, and certainly not if it is after 1st (April) May? Then again, the 535d is pretty rare, so not likely to be much stock around I'm guessing, also depends on how urgently you need the vehicle.

Only joking, thanks for your time, much appreciated, pretty much corroborated what i was thinking.
Is it a good deal though, on the face of it it seems pretty good, although obviously i'll be driving around in the old shape (although i put up with that everyday just walking around).

I tend to be willing to pay a 'good value price' that is a lot of money if I like the car, but if there isnt anything just go to something cheap.
That's the logic that's got me in an E Class AMG Line Coupe I don't really need instead of the sensible Polo GTi runabout I was veering towards SWMBO signed up to a 1+23 Tiguan SEL through Centralukvehicleleasing.
£297 for 5k p/a with 8.2ppm excess (this was cheaper than taking 8-10k miles). This is inclusive of the car tax increase, as delivery is 1st June.
Not a bad deal considering there's not much manufacturer support on these. Just about 25% on 8k miles, even with the tax increase.

This looks like a fair deal. Assuming this is 2wd, Manual, Sold Grey and Cloth trim? And does your £297 include the fees. Otherwise i'm canceling the order i placed for an SE Nav on Friday !! £297 for 5k p/a with 8.2ppm excess (this was cheaper than taking 8-10k miles). Anybody seen any good deals on an MX-5? I tried to unearth the £244 one mentioned here by What Car? but frustratingly there's no link to any actual deal or mention of who's doing it.

Seat Ibiza FR Technology (with sat nav) RRP £15,245 (new model in July, so discount likely)
9+35 months £1212 down, £134.68 a month, £200 fee. £6125.92 over the term.
https://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/Seat_...
or 9+23 £1073 down, £119.28 a month. £3816.96 over the term. So cheaper on a year by year basis.

Are these particularly good deals or am I just being naive?

Yup, standard spec. Urano grey. Unfortunately doesn't include the fee, £180 fee to go on that. No dealer would get anywhere close to it though. Closest a dealer got was £360 on an SE Nav...after trying to push PCP for about an hour. Sigh. So fees were unavoidable
I'm not starting up one of those conversations, but why do you lease? (I do too)
For me it is purely because my wife cries like a baby if a car isn't new and it is just as cheap to lease than buy, quite often cheaper.
Does this apply to everyone? i.e. Is a brand new car a must?
Doing the rough maths on my wifes next car the cost over 3 years leasing versus a paying a loan off on a 1 year old car with 6k miles was 50%/£6000. No surprise there particularly - it is old news, it just made me wonder whether everyone is doing this purely because they love a brand new car this much.

For me, it's mostly about having full warranty protection. Also, you swap the car every 2 years. People that loan or PCP/HP are paying what they are on an X-year old car that they were paying when the car was brand new. Why not keep the payment the same, but swap the car every 2 years? It's been done to death on this thread and everybody has their reasons.
