Like I said both broker and dealer stated it was covered. It's 250 miles and I've extended the lease for another three months so doubt I will go over but that wasn't my point it's how VWFS are completely unaware of this. People need to be wary of this.

That ipace deal looks really good actually.

Bare in mind the PCP deals are not that great because baloon quite low. Seems lease companys have more faith in the product that jaguar finance.

Also, no discounts right now and probably quite low production volumes.

Very tempted.
I've got a Grand Cherokee going back soon, kinda tempted by this but a bit weary that they're not offering a lower monthly variant. I'd rather pay 3 at £575 or whatever the equivalent is.

Makes it easier to justify the fuel cost savings over the current car because you make that back quickly rather than over the course of the term

So they do not know how many miles were on the car when it was delivered?! My car had 31 miles on it when it was delivered by trailer. I will probably end up having to pay for them on excess miles, its not a lot I know but I dont like the principle of it given that they would be done by the factory and dealer.

HI chaps, i am approaching year 3 of a 4 year lease with BMW Finance, where i currently lease a BMW X3 Xline, delighted with the car but given that i am now on my second X3 fancy a little change. Currently paying £499 per month. I currently average about 12k per annum.

I am tempted by the I3s without the range extender and am currently in the market for a good lease deal.

Seen some new X5 and X6's that are going for £549 down and £549 per month but that is for 8k mileage, to be honest i don't think i want to go bigger as my needs don't really demand the space, and we have a X-trail in the household anyway.

I am loving the idea of no road tax and driving past garages.

Any good leases around on the i3s? ideally a one month upfront payment and 36 or 48 month period.

When you take collection after delivery you sign a paper with the current mileage on it.

Go back one page and check out the Jag I-pace. Just my opinion but the Jag is a far better car then the i3 and should be well within your budget (using the x3 cost as a budget benchmark)

I see people mentioning trailer delivery. Is this usually per mile and if so how much is a normal price to be paying?

Delivery is free in most cases. But it can be either delivered by driver or on a trailer, depending on dealer/broker. Best to agree on it when ordering the car. One of mine came from Scotland to Surrey and it was delivered from Milton Keynes on flatbed. I suspect it came from Scotland on a lorry with some other cars. Other was driven to me and came with 200 miles on a clock, but I never exceeded agreed miles, so it wasn't a problem.

that doesn't follow through to the contract inherently though, that's just a statement of facts for the transport co.

I was told this when I spoke to VWFS recently too. Very dismissive and not what we are told by brokers and dealers.
Have you got it writing from either the dealer or broker? If so, then present them with the bill as it's not down to the leasing company. Sadly they don't all have the same rules with regards to delivery mileage.

True, but for some leasing companies the agreement starts from PDI mileage, and not when it arrives with the end user

delivery is free if the car is fulfilled through dealer fleet department as this is customary for B2B leasing, and for some reason they treat B2C the same for now. It won't necessarily be fulfilled in that way though.

Handed back my A4 a couple of weeks ago and just had my invoice for the excess mileage. Deal was for 5k p/a when I knew I'd need 8k, but it actually worked out cheaper to take the 5k and pay the excess.

Handed the car back with 15886 miles on the clock and have been invoiced for 5886 miles totalling £424. However, the car was driven to me under the standard 'Free delivery' banner and had 650 miles on the clock when it arrived.

Phoned up Audi Finance to get the invoice changed and been told "That's not our problem - it's for you to sort out with the dealer..."

I know it's pennies in the grand scheme of things, but I'm fcensoredking feeling well stitched up. Reckon the dealer are going to refund me 2 years later?

Free delivery my bòllócks.
Well they did deliver it for free...
They didn't deliver it for free - it cost me 7.3p per mile. At no point is it mentioned to anyone ever that the delivery mileage is deducted from your contract mileage (therefore you're paying for it). In my case, the car was driven 200 miles from storage to dealer, then 450 miles from dealer to me - all of which I paid for (regardless of whether I went over the contract mileage or not). Like I say it's less than £50 - it's not the end of the world - it's just the principle of being told something's free when it's not.

Was my first ever lease - lesson learned - just wanted to make others aware that 'Free Delivery' isn't necessarily free, especially if you're on one of those 15ppm excess mileage contracts.

get friend that wants a Discovery sport but he is being told that there are none available until 2019! I have seen manual 2WD ones on a 3+47 @8K for £350 or Auto for £425 BUT does anyone know anywhere that has availability?
Has he been inside one? I was considering one and they seem to be about 5 years behind inside compared to any compareable car on the market.
