Most of the £10k is deposit contribution from the dealer and BMW finance - you only pay £549 of the deposit. Despite being a PCP that's not a bad deal, if you want an X5 specifically for 4 years.

Edit: I hadn't realised there was a new X5 out; so this is presumably for a stock car which is immediately out of date. Maybe not such an amazing deal.

these are offered as a new x5 is about to be launched. its a consideration. Harry Fairbairn in Glasgow were also doing these offers i believe in June.

I am tempted but it might be a few months too early in my current lease arrangement, i am going to contact bmw finance today and see what the settlement is.

It's PCP rather than PCH, but....

Your deposit contribution will be £549.00, the Retailer will contribute £7,076.50 and BMW Financial Services will contribute £2,500.00 making a total deposit contribution of £10,125.50 towards your car’s on the road cost of £59,405.00.

I see people mentioning trailer delivery. Is this usually per mile and if so how much is a normal price to be paying?
My BMW came on a trailer with 4 whole miles on the clock

To all those mentioning the free delivery to your door from a dealer, but effectively being charged for it, VWFS stand point is that they shouldn’t be liable for the mileage charges incurred due to your choice of purchase/lease a large distance away from the delivery point.
If you took a train to Warrington (for example) to personally collect and drove 250 miles home then it would have come off your total allowance – a professional driver doing it for you is no different in their eyes. The free delivery is just the dealership not charging a ‘per mile’ rate instead of using a flatbed truck. If the car was driven 200 mile from a compound to the dealers then driven 450 to your door, then £15 of the £50 definitely should have been covered by the dealership. I asked DM Keith all about this exact situation before they delivered my Leon 290 to me on a flat-bed from York. CVL had promised that is was free delivery with the miles on the car as from the factory, plus driving on and off at port, plus delivery miles – whatever number it arrived at was my ‘0’ reading and my 16k over two years was added to it. DM Keith kindly offered to transport it FOC rather than charge me the trailer charge, plus I blagged a full tank of fuel due to the excess mileage charge being 7.2ppm and not 6ppm as originally agreed. I asked Carly at Seat Lookers Stockport about their free delivery option for Cupra 300 and it plays out exactly as above – I’ll just look at it that it’s 250 less miles of my running in period that I have to do and that a train ticket up, plus petrol used coming back would have been waaaaaay more than 250 miles x 7.2ppm.

How have leases with alphabet found they are with regards to fair wear and tear? Had mine collected today and every little imperfection was noted. Will have to wait and see which points are charged.

My previous lease through Network, car in similar good condition and inspector didn’t note anything.

In ilikejam's example they are are charging for all miles above the lease limit, not even the PDI mileage. This is completely unreasonable IMO, even if the charges for that kind of mileage might only be a quid or two.

As for the delivery miles, if a dealer, who is selling the lease on behalf of VWFS, decides to deliver the car by driving it then they should be telling the customer that it is coming out of their mileage. Given that it is the norm that a lease car is delievered to your door, and a car can be driven or trailered to its destination it should all be on a level playing field IMO regarding when the mileage ticker starts. It's completely different to buying a car where it is expected that you go and gather it up.

I have had three delivered to me on trailer and never been charged extra for it, and they were competitive deals, so I must have been lucky

This looks a very good deal. Financially could be considered as equivalent to a £549 lease on 1 + 47. It presumably won't include road tax but at the end of the lease based on current used prices the car will be worth more than the £23.5k balloon payment, at 4 years old and 32k miles, even with the new model coming in. I'd estimate more like £30k meaning there's an opportunity to claw back around £6.5k. Take the road tax off this at £250/year and spread it over the 48 weeks, and based on man maths its the equivalent to knocking just over £100 off the monthly cost, so less than £450/month!

Noting the marks is not the same as being invoiced for them.
As you said - you'll have to wait and see.

Bear in mind the road tax on this car is now £1240 for the first year and £450 per year for the next 4 = £2590 tax over 4 years vs £1000 in your calculation.

Mine was delivered with 12 miles on the clock. The lease paperwork stated the 'start mileage' as 200 miles. I was told they put 200 miles down to ensure delivery mileage is covered.

Hi all,

Hoping you can all help here!

I've been scrolling up and down the forum for a Hatchback (Focus, Golf, 1 Series, A3).

Ideally looking for a 3+23 or 3+35 deal but struggling to find something for £750 Deposit and £250 per month MAX!

Have any of you posted a deal recently for something like the above which i may have missed?

Thanks!

Thought i was only a couple of months off year three, had a look.. October 2015 was the first payment. Think I am just torturing myself at this point seeing these deals. Last thing i need to be doing is to be paying any early redemption clauses.

At year three on my last lease however i did leave the lease with zero penalty and was able to pay one month up front.

Funny when you get the urge for a new car, its like poking at a sore tooth... you just cant seem to stop until something gives.

PCP "on the road" figure will include first year tax. Buyer will be liable for the next 3 years tax.

That's a decent budget for a regular hatchback, you shouldn't be struggling at all to get something for that amount.

How about a Leon 1.4 FR Technology on 10k miles, 3+35 £756 initial, £192 a month:
