Does look nice this and the price seems entirely reasonable these days.

What is the device fitted to right side of the upper centre console??
I suspect that's a mount for a more modern phone or GPS. Quite incongruous, despite attempts to mount it out of the way.

I do have something of an unhealthy want to fully clean and detail it though.
Record it and you'd probably make your money back from YT revenue...

Interesting choice of tyres. Aside from the whole filthy thing, if it has been used/kept up with tyre pressures etc why wouldn't you spend a few hundred quid on a good valet and MOT?
I was thinking the same! "I only drive it on sunny summer days, so I fitted wet weather winter tyres to it".

But, I remember a Vauxhall Vectra of all things that had an unusual combination of tyre size (it had the sport package), top speed (it was a 2.8T) and max axle load (it was an estate) which meant I had a choice of just two tyres at the time. That was from both the online merchants and my local tyre shops...

It's not inconceivable that an S-class would have similarly limited tyre options. Probably a bit easier these days with lots of high powered SUVs and generally fatter, faster cars.

Re the winter tyres.....

When I ordered a new Renault 25 back in 1987, I specified aircon.
The salesman thought I was mad - and said so.
"Why on earth do you want aircon? It's November".

Mind you, it seems to have been November for the last 6 months this year..... scratchchin

In one of the subsequent pictures there appears to be a curly black cord running from it under the steering column. Weird.

But it and try a fast lap of the Ring... You'd only be the second to do it and we could get a leaderboard going!

Vendor = Inglebys LTD. Has no showroom, just takes pictures of cars outside a church parked at a wonky angle or similarly in other local side streets

Not usually my cup of tea, but despite the stance and wheels, there’s something about that. It says you could be a somebody, whether in a good or a bad [a*s] way.

Because it is rotten as it was owned by a scotsman. The seller decided that enough is enough. Unless the price drops it will only be good for a scrap in a few years if not now.

How is it possibly that the bravery of design made it through the committee? Thank goodness for the post war era.
