Best lease car deals available?

Works out at 96 mile per week.
You'll rack up more than that going shopping or simply moving it out of the way so you can use the Mrs's car because you'll be over-milage if you use the BM
Average UK milage is 12k from memory and you may as well get the right contract mileage to start with
The thing about averages is that for every 25k+ pa sales rep hammering up and down the motorway there's someone doing <5k pa to arrive at the 12k average figure. I ended up putting about 5k on my M135i in the first year. I ended up being sent to a client in London so was on the train every day and so the only mileage was personal stuff.
Work out what you need, the likelihood of it changing and what it'll cost you. I've seen 5k ps deals where the excess miles charge was so low you'd be better off with it rather than getting 10 or 15k on your contract.

Because the dealer may not want a particular deal widely advertised, it could be something you've negotiated directly person to person via private communication at a point in time on a particular car or they are particularly motivated to do it for a set of circumstances and then it gets on here. I don't think it is a big deal but unless it is a publicly advertised deal you are making it public without the approval of the sales person....
That makes a bit of sense. Hadn't thought about it from that angle. Thanks!Quick question - if I add an optional extra (let's say cruise control at £240) to a lease deal, can I just expect to pay roughly an extra £10 per month over the 24 months, or do lease companies charge you more than the actual cost of the option? I read somewhere that some charge VAT twice on options?

^^ That was always my understanding, however I recently asked for a quote including metallic paint on a VW Golf GTD Estate from CVL and they quoted an additional £690 over the term. The metallic option when purchasing is £540.
That's 27% not 2xVat (40%). Didn't you question m/challenge this- and then raise it to HMRC who would certainly like to know why someone is charging different VAT rates to the Govt statute. You could screw them quite hard or they will simply cave and give you it for less over taking more margin.

This has always been an issue with leasing. It's getting less so as cars are better spec''d but it put me right off leasing a Tiguan - adding metallic, cruise & folding mirrors was bumping up the monthly by an absurd 25%. Ending up buying one instead. The mrs is wanting a new car and I have caved in to the thought of a lease deal, we/she is interested in a c class amg line premium plus, does anyone know of any good deals?
We have found one for (iirc) £2700 deposit and 340- mth over 36 mths 10k per annum.
In a way it's a terrible waste of money, but that said these cars are around 35k. I just can't see it being worth 20k in 3 years. More like 12-15k so good there, no mot, one service perhaps two, maybe one set of tyres etc etc.
She's currently driving a clk350. The fuel saving alone could well be £60 a month. It eats tyres and is now starting to cost a bit more in maintenance. Plus it's new shiny thing

Understand your sentiment to the leaseco though.

Just as an additional thought, I have been reliably informed that VWFS and MBFS give metallic paint at no extra charge for Lease cars. Might it be the case that if you didn;t take a stock car that was available, then you were looking at a factory order, not within that particular deal.

I dealt through a couple of VW dealers when I was looked at PCH'ing Tiguan last month and metallic was extra.Understand your sentiment to the leaseco though.
I think on "proper" leases to companies it tends to be included - it was on our company leases - but that's probably because there's competition amongst manufacturers for fleet business and it's assumed drivers will want metallic. I guess it's also had enough selling 3yr old 90K miles cars without them being in yucky flat colours too.
