The last VWFS collection we had in 2018 was thorough, but not to the point of paint depth gauges.

Santander used an alternative agent to collect the V90 during lockdown and I swear the thing could have had 3 wheels and been on fire and it wouldn't have been a problem.

Last 2 cars I handed back were paint depth checked for accident repairs. Both BCA collections.

EDIT: both were accident free so just highlighting that they were routinely checking this.
What if the repairs are done to an excellent standard, but the paint depth gauge shows a respray?

Will they still charge?
Yes, if it's vwfs. I had a quarter panel repair done to an immaculate standard on my S5. The paint depth gauge showed it up, so I was billed for the repair as per matrix cost.
Would this happen if you used a VAG approved repairer?

I’ve never seen a depth gauge come out on inspection, I’m guessing it only comes out when things don’t look right, or you get the new guy who’s a bit too keen :-)

1 month and 1000 miles of leasing a 335d I got hit from behind whilst stationary and pushed into the car in front. 10k worth of repairs and so thankfully no issues with paint being checked upon returning!!

No it wouldn't but you'll pay dearly for the repair!

Nope... sign up to ensurance, which is free. They then liase with your insurance to send it to vag approved repairers. If your insurance try and charge more ensurance will cover it.

Used it twice over the years..

I mean a repair you pay for yourself such as a very small dink in a bumper which you 'think' would be £400 to fix and the VAG repairer quotes you £1,400. I would always use a main dealer approved repairer if it's an insurance job.

Just fisted the fruit on the 2008e Peugeot in sunset orange metallic (free) on a 1+35 deal at 5k a year and with maintenance included for £308pm

It is the GT spec as well so plenty of gadgets

Maintenance is £16 and excess mileage is around 14ppm.

So 3 services plus a set of front tyres as expect to do about 24k overall.

Cheap fuel costs for 3 years, they waived the 300 arrangement fee

Kurt at Best car finder has been really good to deal with kurt@bestcarfinder.co.uk

Delivery delayed till jan 2021 for me.

It’s orange, not brown, that brown is a 3008 colour

Hi, I went for the diesel, lovely to drive and really responsive (especially in sport mode)

No options added at all as the lead times were too long, just went for what they had in stock and white was available sooner. If I’m being honest having looked through the options this didn’t come with, it didn’t leave many boxes unticked.

I wasn’t prepared to pay the extra £30pm for black or grey, it all came down to the right deal at the right time that worked for me.

Feel free to pm me with more questions!

To the person who posted further up about if the deal is available have a look on WhatCar, that’s where I sourced it. Or speak to Rob Bates at Swansway Group on 01270 848989, he’s the person I was dealing with.

Mine was 6X20 roughly £460pcm 8k miles a year. Think it was £10pm cheaper for the petrol
Looks good, I've a build date late September for mine as I went for the Petrol.
Did enquire about metallic, given the 3 months free, but was told it wasn't possible to change the order and as prices had gone up, I'd have to get a new quote.

Cool. Mine arrives early Sept but delaying delivery till end of Sept as my wifes A6 isnt due back to end of Nov so minimising the early return costs. It is white with the 286bhp diesel and came with the 3 month payment holiday. As mentioned earlier I did want grey ideally, but the only option I had was black (it looks like there is far too much black!) or there was a silver petrol. Wife was happy with white so white it was.

does 5k + 14ppm really work out cheaper than their 8k option? It seems like quite an expensive ppm if you think you'll do 9k excess miles.

I think it works out £5 per month but if we have more lockdowns next year then I will do nowhere near that.

Even with no deposit works out about the same price as the rgw a few of us have signed up for which was open to everyone.

Not sure how much this is for non nhs/emergency service.

Not as good as the a7 nhs deal from a few pages back.

Hi

What was the RGW offer? Do you have a link please? Can't seem to find it on their site?

What did they say in re to delivery times?

Never leased from them before - assuming trusted party.

Cheers
