Most people really wouldn't I'm afraid. A lot of men who are interested in cars would, but for the vast majority of people they would have no interest. An older man driving a supercar isn't cool and is no doubt why restomods are such big business amongst wealthy, especially older, men. I loved my two 964 turbos because they were already classics by the time I owned them.

I don't think it has ever been different - hence the jokes about penis extensions/medallion men/poseurs etc, etc.

Ultimately drive what you want - who cares what other people think!

Out of the two posted I would take the McLaren as the colour is lovely, too many miles on both for me though.

So far my personal experience of driving a bright orange McLaren is that other people's reactions have only been positive - from those who react, it's all smiles and excitement.

At any rate, it's definitely not a reason not to buy such a car, if you see what I mean.
