Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 10)
Discussion
May have been posted already so feel free to delete if so.
We are in the process of leasing a stock Cupra Born v2 58Kw on a 1+36 deal for £389 a month including the premium Aurora Blue paint which feels like a decent deal.
Select car leasing (who we are using) have some decent deals on the Born.
Ordered ours last week, estimated delivery is Friday 24th May.

My lease is due back next month, quick question:
Do you wash the car?
Do you vacuum the car?
How much fuel do you leave?
I remember when i used to get hire cars, i would hand it back cleaned and fuelled, when one day one of the staff told me i didn't need to do that as they washed and cleaned the vehicles themselves!
Just wondering what the requirements are for leases.
I’ve always made a point of cleaning thoroughly inside and out. It makes the inspection far easier and the person doing it has always said how much they appreciate it. Also make them a bit more lenient when it comes to assessing the wear and tear. I’ve been told that by several inspectors and as a result never had any additional charges impose. Normally leave enough charge or fuel for then to drive a reasonable distance for.e. 100 miles Do you wash the car?

my last lease (Alphabet) specified the car should be clean for inspection and a quarter of a tank of fuel. I have always cleaned the car in preparation regardless of instruction, I do believe it helps the inspection for mutual benefit.Do you wash the car?

I’ve returned 4 car lease cars, never had any charges.
I always clean thoroughly inside and out before they are inspected. It always get commented as to how well kept they are.
My cars are always kept clean and in good condition anyway so there’s never much wear and tear and isn’t any cleaner than a normal weekly clean.

This. I've only leased once but when I did I cleaned it in and out thoroughly, any receipts for servicing / tyres etc. nicely kept etc. A cup of tea or coffee doesn't go amiss either. When I returned my S60 there was kerbage on the wheels that was bigger than BCA's guidelines and when he put everything through I had nothing to pay. Did anyone go for the id buzz on the loyalty offer from central? Just the life in standard spec. Really not sure whether to go for it or not as there are no rear windows for the kids and could see this being annoying for them.
The Buzz life does have rear windows! Its car not Van!The commerce is the van that doesn’t have windows.

Sorry i meant it doesn't have windows that work. You are correct though it does have windows. The issue is the windows don't open. Anyone that owns one is it a massive issue? The commerce is the van that doesn’t have windows.

With VWFS I tend not to clean the wheels if they are curbed, everything else though I do so it looks nice. You can also get charges waived in some cases, just dispute the cost and don’t agree to it , if your car is clean you can use that to your advantage when you state your case. Do you wash the car?

Seems a decent deal for such a big bus, although the jump to 8k miles is +147 a month, so not sure if a misprice

Major issue with the Peugeot Traveller and the other Stellantis copies of it including the Toyota version is the range
110 miles in the summer, under 100 miles in the winter
If it’s the new facelift one then it’s been drastically improved, should be around 160 miles with the heat pump as standard,
You need to check if this is the new 2024 facelift or some of the old stock.

If it helps, I've got a Caravelle we've had for a bit over a year. The "rear" windows (i.e. where the middle row of seats are) are horizontal sliding things. They've been opened precisely once - on the day we bought it. The kids have never mentioned it since. Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
