My Kuga went back to Arnold Clark on the 12th March, MOT expired on the 14th.

No issues at all.

Also had a small dink on one door and a small scratch on another door but not heard a peep from them, however, was 14k under the agreed mileage, so maybe some leeway was afforded.

They would be driving it on trade plates so is tax relevant?

Again what does the contract state?
If MOT current I'd be surprised if they can force that.

When I handed my lease car back (VW/Audi Finance not AC) I handed it back 2 weeks early so no need for a service and MOT was valid.

My guess is that, unlike other funders who will send their cars to auction, Arnold Clark will want to put returned lease cars straight onto the forecourt.

I had a similar attitude from them a few years back when I used their "Sell Your Car" service. amongst other factors to get my quote, one of the online questions was "does the car have an MOT valid for 30 days or more". Mine had 3 months, so I answered yes.

Cut to the day of selling and they try to knock £55 MOT price off my quote because "we can't sell a car on with less than 6 months MOT". Not my issue, and not how your questionnaire is worded - managed to successfully fight that one.

As others have said, your contract should confirm, but above might explain their line of thought in wanting it done.

Been through a credit check and due to time of delivery and price being increased. I am now cancelling an order within the 14 days and had already paid agent fee. I have asked the agent to cancel the order and provide a refund for their fee. I assume this is standard practice and I should not have to continue chasing. It's one of the big agents.

Anyone been through this before

My guess would be the fee will state it is non refundable, and the fee is you paying them for their service, it’s not linked to the lease itself so wouldn’t count as the 14 day cooling off period. I think.

Check out this information here. Might be alright, as cooling off periods seem to apply to both the broker fee stuff and then again to the actual finance docs. Good luck!

148 mile claimed range so realistically 100-120. So stopping every 2 hours to charge? Seems quite inconvenient for any kind of distance travelling which I expect is one of the USPs of this vehicle type?

That’s the 75kw model so range is 214 miles, so probably a realistic 180, which is plenty for most. I love these type of vans for space and practicality so would suit my circumstances definitely. However I got the Maxus deal at Christmas, so wrong timing for me.

increasing the mileage is pretty reasonable too; upping to 10k only adds £22 pcm

New 3008 GT 136, £255 12+23
Seems decent for whoever doesn't want an EV. And no broker fee as direct from Stellantis.

The current version of this car and its identical Toyota/Citroen/Vauxhall/Fiat versions in electric do around 110 miles to a full charge, less in winter.

The new facelift which can now be ordered should be better as it includes a heat pump as standard.

The problem with these vehicles is they lose a stack of value in the first year, as much as £15k drop
Hence it’s worth buying them a year old

3008 deal looks reasonable but looking at those wheels every day would make me feel ill.

We have a couple of 7 seaters over the years and most of that was transporting the kids and their friends to local events. We were very popular with the football team etc. As the kids got older we were also popular for giving lifts into town. It was a glorified kids taxi, that was its USP in our case, doing short trips. I imagine that isn’t that unusual for cars like these?

Exactly, also very popular as inner city taxis

It is a 12 + 17
So 29 x 272.81 = 7911.49.

We still have a (privately-owned) Ford Galaxy and absolutely love it. You can get 3 child seats next to each other in the middle row, the extra 2 seats are great (we use them to take our parents with us avoiding the need to take a second car), huge interior space, loads of cubby holes, very comfy etc. It's a shame Ford have stopped manufacturing both the Galaxy and the S-Max.

Yes they do! Directly taken from Leaseloco it seems. For an EV minibus that is a pretty great price
