Just the thing for the summer months. Price seems.....reasonable. This dealership always has something interesting in stock.

Yes they do have interesting stuff alongside everyday stock. The Z3 BMW 507 lookalikes are interesting, albeit expensive for a sheep in wolf’s clothing but well executed. A while back they had a DB4 Zagato lookalike Z3 based thing. It was for sale for a while, I wonder if it ever sold or got punted on in the trade, or maybe SOR, as the potential buyers you could probably count on one finger.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202304236...

OT, slightly, but if anyone remembers my z4 that I bought nearly three years back and posted on here.
Well I’ve just sold the bd. An amazingly capable car that looked awesome, and drove well, but cost me £5k in less than 3 years of maintenance and frankly I’d rather run a Vantage for that.
It also made me realise how much I love my old Volvo of the same age, and doesn’t have ‘common problems’ and just rattles on regardless. Bit of oil and it’s happy.

What sort of stuff needed attention? With my old W211 I used to find that it rarely needed attention beyond standard servicing and consumables, but when it DID need attention to Mercedesey bits they were generally a bit pricey. Especially as most of those parts couldn't be DIYd without the Mercedes Star diagnostic rig.
Surprisingly I've found spicier Vauxhalls and Fords expensive for bits I assumed would be cheap. You sort of expect it with a BMW or Mercedes, but it's galling when you need some rare tyre size or expensive brake componentry on a Tesco Value equivalent car.

Not much.Engine gaskets. Everywhere.
Brake lines.
Steering column. New one.
More gaskets.
Calipers.
Another gasket.
Cooling system refresh (preventative because I looked at the internet)
Vanos rebuild and new disa valve (as above)
Other stuff.
I also felt like a right tt driving it. Quick though.

Tis a no from me. Ad is a bit bold " Excellent bodywork no rust!" look at the rear arches, that car looks like a proper 20 footer with Mr Magoo doing the viewing to me. The maritime locale is also of concern even if the arches didn't look so shonky. I reckon you'll find that car has had paint applied with a brush in places.
Still, on a positive note "Wear on drivers seat bolster" means someone has sewn on a patch over a hole and that kind of wear would make me doubt the "low miles" (which it isn't particularly)
I'm oot

I bought my 97 SL from them 9 years ago, when he was still trading from home. I think Sarah Cox is his wife, a hairdresser, and I have forgotten why they were trading in her name; their eBay title is haircut based IIRC. Nice folk, no pressure and genuine.
I've just noticed that they have a yellow one in the background of that picture tooUnder four bags for a well kept, privately owned and well specced S500.

Clean MOTs under the current owner’s stewardship, so beyond the caps lock is an honest seller.

As E39s go this is a lovely one. V8, manual box, xenons, heated comfort seats and a folding rear bench.
