Hi all,

I'm in a predicament and don't know which way to go...

I have some money spare and want to get something I can enjoy, whilst also retaining the value so that if need be in the future I can not make a loss, excluding maintenance etc.

I have narrowed my searches down to two cars that I really like, the MG ZT 260 (V8 mustang engined one) or the Clio 182 Trophy. Both are similar 0-60 wise but the ZT is obviously a bit more bulky and thirsty.

Do I go V8 and get that incredible noise or do I go hot hatch and nippy 182?

The ZT is in my books a great looking car and the 260 is certainly a bit of a sleeper, the Clio looks a tad boring but with those dampers and punchy engine a great driver.

Whats more likely to hold/improve on value?

Any advice would be great as I don't know what to do

I forgot to say it won't be a daily drive as I have my ultra eco A3 for the normal, boring drives. The ZT runs the Mustang 4.2 V8 so no Rover engines in sight.

I don't think I could have chosen much different, both appeal to me in different ways. I've always had a soft spot for the ZT 260 but its drinking habits may be a bit much, on the flip the Clio is nearly as fast, lighter and more economical. Its V8 sound vs Hot hatch handling.
