The Bargain PCP Deal Thread
Discussion
I know we have the great resource that is the lease deals thread but I thought it might be worth doing a similar thread for PCPs or similar finance deals. The main reason is the folding offer popped up on social media and I thought it too cheap not to investigate further...

Brand new dealer stock BMW X-Drive 335d saloons, mixture of specs but does include a couple of shadowline ones with the upgraded allows and fancy stereo, apart from that they aren't that highly spec'd for a M-Sport I thought-normal nav, heated seats, privacy glass and a revising camera.
Term of agreement 48 months
47 monthly payments £399.00
On the road cash price* £44,075.00
Customer deposit £399.00
BMW FS deposit contribution £6750.00
Retailer deposit contribution £4659.67
Total deposit £11,808.67
Total amount of credit £32,266.33
Option to purchase fee^ £0.00
Optional final payment^ £13,513.33
Total amount payable £44,075.00
Rate of interest 0.0% APR
Representative APR 0.0%
Excess mileage charge 10.29 pence per mile
Annual mileage 8,000
Under £20k for the four years. New 3 series out early next year so we're probably going to see a few more of these over the coming months...

Good idea.
I have been looking at the 0% BMW deal for a 320i M Sport. The cheapest I have found online is Marshalls BMW with:
£299 * 47 months with £1250 deposit and 8k miles, total £15303 over 4 years or £3826 per year. Final payment £10445.
There seems to be a wide variety of deals depending on BMW Dealership, it appears they most want to shift the diesels and the 320d M Sport. All deals seem to say immediate delivery.
The 320i is presumably a petrol yes? We live rurally so although not doing loads of miles I suspect that at a steady 50-60mph the dirty diesel of the 335d would probably not cost much more to run per month than the 320i.I have been looking at the 0% BMW deal for a 320i M Sport. Heck of a quicker car too and the 6 cylinder diesel might even be a nicer engine.

That bmw deal is really solid. Even with the new one coming. I wonder if you can turn the screw even more on what they are quoting?
Might ring...
Always worth a try but Lloyd’s seem to be the cheapest of all the deals. I’d be more inclined to push for a better spec’d car rather than a cheaper one. As nice as the 335d is to drive the lack of keyless entry, boggo nav, Black interiors and cheap leather would grate on me a bit.Might ring...
The Veler looks an interesting deal on the headline figures the way JLR are going it can’t be long until they’re throwing dealer and manufacturer incentives and 0% at those things.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that car is sub £400pcm before long-you’d still have to put up with the diesel four pot mind you.

I didn't believe it either, but the offer I have just seen is £369 down, £369 a month
https://www.stratstone.com/new-cars/land-rover/ran...
I found that too, is it a bit poverty spec however? They list twelve optional extras and three of them are coil spring suspension, bootlid spoiler and a model badge-it doesn't bode well!https://www.stratstone.com/new-cars/land-rover/ran...

If it wasn't for the 6k miles and progressive mileage charge I would be placing an order now. However, some years I can do 25k.
And it's the reason why all these "mileage correction" specialists are so busy As I posted yesterday however, I think JLR will be getting more desperate in Q1 next year so will be incentivising their stock more heavily then. Same with the 4 series by BMW as it will be getting replaced after the 3 series as usual.
I really need to make a decision about the Type-R by easter, it's so good that the ideal situation might just be to keep it but you get bored don't you? Something like the 335d and a toy in the garage might be preferable.

what options are missing from this car that are not covered by standard options that you get with it, that are really needed? Just wondering what you are having to compromise on.

Payments will be higher over 3 years to match the depreciation curve.

It could go the other way if manufacturers back off production as JLR has done.jimmy_wrxsti said:
However I did contact a local LR dealer (not Stratstone) to see if they would match it. They said they cant and that Stratstone cannot actually do the deal either, said it was either a mistake or a strategy to get enquiries.
Our local dealership said the same but then I guess they would, wouldn't they?Updating an old thread but looking around for something new and there’s;
BMW M140i £369 down and £369 pcm
Our local dealers have stock of well spec’d automatics at £399 a month without haggling, got to be a relatively cheap 4 year deal?
Unfortunately I was hoping for some 0% 335d touring or 435d deals but it seems to be a little thin on the ground for bargains?
Anything anyone else has found?

Anyone else finding a distinct lack of anything decent out there? I'm quite surprised...
Still some great deals on the last M140is to be built. £367 deposit, £367 a month over four years.

It's the interest that makes the BMW deals sky rocket. When they do an impulse offer and provide 0% apr on stock vehicles, the monthlies drop massively and the cars start to look reasonably priced. Otherwise, the poor residuals make them expensive on a pcp, even with the usual hefty looking discount off list.
You're right of course, BMW Finance charging you the sum total of £6551.73 in interest to drive around in a hugely depreciating asset.I've been waiting on the run out 0% deals on the 335d Touring however, looking at the last deal it might not even be any better.
In October last year, they were offering 335d saloons at £399 down, £399 ppm and touring at £449 down, £449 pcm. The problem with these, was finding one at that figure as most were optioned up in some way that added on £40 or so pcm.
0% interest sounds all well and good but when the car is discounted by nearly £20k it saves almost as much as the interest would have cost anyway.
0% Free and manufacturer discounts available on the outgoing MY Ford Ranger including Wildtrack. A little agricultural for most but the 3.2 Diesel Auto isn't a bad driving thing IMHO if a twin cab pickup is your thing.
Haven't driven the new 2.0 with 10 speed auto version so don't know how much better it is.
