Alpina values

Considering a B5 Alpina saloon as an occasional drive and to add to a collection. Far too much choice and value for money out there at the minute with amg’s and other variants both estate and saloon versions being so affordable. Tempted by an M3 cls with residual values in mind but always wanted a super saloon. Other than the limited edition Alpina’s does anyone have any thoughts on Modern Alpina values going forward?

I had heard that some models had found their way on to the production line. Just wondered whether the fact that so few variants were produced annually that in time they may at least hold their values as have some early series M models.

There is a 2011 B5 that is advertised on this site with a fairly high spec interior for around 30k
