Fun practical car - Sub £5,000?

Currently between me and my partner we own 2 2 seater coupes so mine is currently up for sale with the idea of replacing it with something still mildly interesting but with plenty of space.
I keep going back a forth between an e46 tourer, and a FN2 Civic Type R? I’ve had both an EP3 and an FN2 before which were great, and a e46 330 cab. The only thing putting me off is I have had one before? Anything else anyone would recommend?
