Looking for opinions if this is worth it or not, put a deposit on an Impreza WRXS with 59k miles on it. Was going to purchase on condition it passed its MOT. It's failed on a few things. These being a major exhaust leak, some suspension components corroded and a tyre needing replaced (not a big deal). Advisories for a wheel bearing and the sub frame going rusty (first time its been mentioned in its MOT history so rust cant be more than a year old.)

I'd be paying £8k. I still want it and I'm not planning on carrying out any work other than preventative and reparative stuff but will this still be worth it. Underside is showing signs of corrosion but isn't that bad. Plan is to get it back to standard then go the forged route. How much can I realistically ask off of it?

Cheers.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've decided not to go for it. My plan is for something that's reliable enough but also fun and a bit in your face to drive as my do it all car. I only do 4k miles a year as I work 2 miles from my house so I don't need incredibly good fuel economy. I'm a fan of Japanese cars but also a dad so need space for my wee one. Currently looking at Mazda 3 MPS's.
