2k max budget for a year

Decided I'm going sell my 265bhp 3.0si Z4 and buy a car for 2k to last me a year when I will then buy a decent car.

So, max budget 2k, ideally lower than this though, somthing that doesn't look like a complete shed, reliable and nippy(ish). Don't want to be spending £££ on repairs either.

Ideas?

I got an E90 330i three years ago as a daily with the 3 litre N52 engine for just under £3.5K, but for some reason they seem to be cheaper now.

I meant I plan to drive a cheap 2k car for a year then I will get a decent car (compared to the 2k car). The Z4 is more than a decent car it's fantastic, a z4m would be very tempting but for now I need a cheap car for a year or so

Thanks for the suggestions some really decent cars I'm quite surprised. The 1.8 or 2.2 civic type s seem pretty good if I can get one for 2k
