I’m looking for a bit of a barge. To load my tools in. But I also want something I can use on the weekends. I was thinking of the Phaeton. They look okay I think, plenty of toys on them and should be okay I would imagine on running costs.

I’ve around £7k spend on something. I’m also open to other suggestions.

I do around 15k
Auto would be great
Plenty of toys

The CLS looks to be a good option. I will have a look at the A8? Any particular spec and engine?

Any toys will be 10 years old I would not bother if I were you.
Fair enough. The options on a Phaeton are still good I believe anyway. Would anyone have any other cars they would recommend?

I don't think the "toys" on a Phaeton will be out of date personally with the exception of probably the Satnav which is likely old at this point nless you find a really keen owner who has kept it updated
That was my thoughts. I use Google Maps or Waze on my phone. So it’s not a big deal. Most sat navs are clunky anyway from the few older cars I’ve had.

Lexus sounds like a good choice. I did have an IS200 and IS250 a few years ago. I do like the LS versions or even the GS. It’s finding a good one with the Lexus Service History.

Infinity look good. I believe they are part of Nissan. I’m just not too keen on that model. So I may see what other models there is. I’m just looking at local cars that I can look at:

The Lexus looks good. The Honda Legend looks interesting, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one.

I suppose they are a good car. But it’s finding one that’s been well maintained. As it’s complicated and won’t be cheap. I’m quite intrigued by the Honda Legend. Has anyone any experience of them? As I’ve had a Honda Accord and Civic and they were great.

I think I have short listed it to either a

Honda Legend
Mercedes E Class
Jaguar XF S Premium Luxury
Subaru Legacy - these are not premium but I’ve always liked them as they are quite a rare sight, especially the Estate.

I went Phaeton

Had it 8 months and put 8k miles on it. Now on 71k
No issues to report really
Just currently needing a exhaust temp sensor for £80. But runs fine regardless

One has just been mentioned on FB with low mileage
Incidentally mine is the high tax bracket but not all of them are. Depends on year
It looks lovely. How much is a service from VW or a Specialist if you don’t mind me asking? Also any major parts that have been replaced? Before you owned it?

A friend of mine sent me a 2009 Saab 9-3 with 44k on for £6k. Any good? It’s a manual Vector Sport.
