Hi All,

How have people found buying new cars from Porsche?

I'm on to my second new car from them and I have to say the whole experience is poor. It generally feels like "it is my privilege to be buying from Porsche", and this isn't just with one dealer. Both Porsche Newcastle and Solihull have been shocking. My theory is because i'm not a high net worth individual buying a Macan S and Taycan Cross 4s, not GTSs and Turbo Ss. Both experienced delays, Macan back in 2019 and Taycan now, but they couldn't give a s**t and would just let me chase for an update. The only time they contacted me was when they wanted more money because the price of the Taycan has gone up in the 19+ months since my order.

They generally don't care because they know the brand sells it's self. I had better experience when i bought my Audi.

So frustrating!

Cheers for all the responses. It is interesting to hear these and i'm glad i'm not the only one.

I get that things get delayed, especially with things going on in the world. But the lack of a phone call or any customer service when things are delayed are a surprise given the brand. I had better service from my local repair shop where the car parts we delayed for months, i'd get a call / text on updates every other day.

I'd love to walk away but i'm 19 months down the line waiting for the car, (looks like it will be 20 months) .

I've got £50 notes for that. Thanks though.
