Hi my fiancée has taken out finance on a car for me to drive for her as she has bipolar disorder and other mental health issues stopping her from being able to drive but has hospital appointments and we thought it was a good idea as she can have the freedom.
She has been excepted and we told the car dealer that I will be driving the car because of said reason.
How do I go about insurance and tax ? I hold a full licence as why I am the driver.
Should I be the registered keeper on v5 ?
Help would be grateful
Thanks
Due to collect car in a week

She said I can buy it from her when the finance has been paid which is nice.

The dealers know I will be driving due to her not being able too and the finance went through ok but since they said that was fronting I’m a bit confused as to what to say now lol
It’s not a lie she can’t drive and she wanted to finance the car so I could drive it to help her mobility and we can go places easier.
So do we tell them to put the v5 in my name as I will be taxing and insuring it? But she is paying the car off

Is motability possible? I understand that if you get awarded the relevant part of pip you are entitled. You can add to the allowance. This being pistonheads I expect to be shot down but just trying to help.
No unfortunately not her thought process was to go down this route I did mention it to her but she wanted to keep her income as it is.

When I worked for a finance company we had numerous issues with people taking out finance in other people's name. It's called an accommodation deal and we classed it as fraud. The person taking out the finance must also insure the vehicle in their name. It is also vital that they have a full UK driving license as there may be circumstances where they will need a hire car due to vehicle quality issues etc and that would need to be in their name. All this will be stated in the terms and conditions of the agreement.
But it’s not illegal to get car finance and not be able to drive due to one reason or another.
So a nominated person has to be the driver ?
