!!One less Noble on the Road
Discussion
Well mine certainly isn't. Went to warm up the engine on a short gentle run so I could check the oil and wash the car then recover her in the garage. Managed to have a coming together with another car lowish speed 45mph approx and now need a new front clam and some other assorted front end items!
Doesn't appear to be any chassis damage I think I went under the other car and the wheels are all pointing in the right direction but god I'm annoyed!

Sorry to hear that Peter...was it your fault? Corsas are a bugger when it's cold and damp like this...this weather must double the stopping distance.
Martin.
Unfortunately totally my fault but it wasn't a simple stopping shunt!! My rear off side wheel hit mud as I was accelerating fairly gently to overtake another car. The rear the slid to the right and dropped off the road. Slightly over corrected and fish tailed across the road to collide with the car I was overtaking. The other car rolled so I feel gutted for her. Mind you she had two firemen on scene immediately so she was at least in pretty good hands. Bump on her head and cut hand and that was it. I didn't even bump my head on the roll bar!! I've taken some pics of the damage which I'll post at some point but not sure if I should until the ins co have seen it!!Martin.
Damn damn and triple damn!!!

Thanks for your thoughts and sympathy guys. I must say I feel awful for the poor girl in the other car. Just a bit younger than my daughter I think
Still all seemed ok injury wise, unless something has happened I don't know of, and thats the main thing. Hopefully the car can be sorted, if not well I had a fantastic 14 months. Exactly the length of time I waited for it!!

Peter, sorry to hear your news and hope everyone is OK and that the damage is repairable. Just a thought but I'm assuming your speed (as quoted in your first post) was within the speed limit at the scene? It's not just the Nobility that read these forums so if not, an edit may be required

People can't be fixed by a bit of GRP and metal. Cars can.
Glad everyone is OK and just remember that is what insurance is for.
Take care.

Exactly right. When I smashed my first one I was surprisingly calm about it all.Glad everyone is OK and just remember that is what insurance is for.
Take care.

Did miss it like hell though while I tried to find a replacement.
Did the police say anything to you?
One that attended mine said (while in the back of the ambulance on a hardboard and neck brace) "Well, your driving fell below the standard expected..." (here we go) "...., but we can see you've probably had enough for one day so we'll just leave it there.". Made me smile a bit.
Very sorry to read this Peter, I echo the above comments. Glad (hope) everyone is ok.
At least you'll get some payback for all those years of insurance premiums!
The roads are darn dangerous on these tyres. Its very easy to loose the back on a damp, cold and muddy road when driving on semi-slicks!
Hope it gets sorted soon matey.
