Thanks Phil - thats intresting.
What exhaust have you gone for and what is the extent of the remap? It'd be great to get some info on your motor i.e. before and after spec/bhp/peak torque etc. Also what year is your car? And have the mods realy ironed out that flat spot?
Thanks
Z

Wow - sounds like you've spent a few £'s on your car - Im after a standard Noble for the time being altough Im sure its only a matter of time until you start itching for more power...
Would you say a Roush exaust and a modest remap alone would alter a standard 3R's performance without sacrificing the engine's life expectancy considerabley? What made you go for all the extra work?
Thanks again

Why all the mods? Well AdrianW and I got into a horsepower war Would you say a Roush exaust and a modest remap alone would alter a standard 3R's performance without sacrificing the engine's life expectancy considerabley? What made you go for all the extra work?
Thanks again

Engine life expectancy. Hhmmmm, well exhaust and remap wouldn't change that to be honest. The issue really is if you start to mod in a big way there's a good chance all the bottom end of the engine will go in the bin anyway. After 19K miles and one trackday, the bores of my block were quite worn and a couple of the big ends were a bit unhappy. And this isn't a stand alone occurrence, as it seems the standard engines are ok for standard (ish) hp but borderline for much more.
