Alex, are you still up for this if it stays as a meet and a hoon and not a track day?

James
Hi James,
Looks a good plan. I might not make this now as I took my front clam in for the new 3R lights and CF louvres to be fitted and the whole tlam tidied up and painted, was meant to be ready for next weekend, however the paint we got is a crap match so there is going to be a delay now while they sort that out. If the clam isnt ready by next weekend I will have to blow this out.
So it makes sense for someone else to sort the meet out..looks like you or Mike are the men for the job.
cheers
Alex

OOh, hot potato.

Earlier on I offered to do a bit of a "route recce" out this way so I don't mind doing that still?
Am I right in thinking that "we" know someone on site at Bruntingthorpe (Matt?) to liase with for a meeting point, and for a run around the course for those who wish to?

So 27th Bruntingthorpe, meet time? (allow a couple of hours for people to converge and for those who want a thrash to do so), then a departure time to "destination TBC after Recce"?

Mike?

Hope your car is ready in time Alex.

Mike, recce would be great. Just to confirm, Matt's dad owns Brunters and Matt is running a company there called Jetstream Motorsport. I've been getting my car worked on there for a while now and have got quite friendly.

Matt owns a Noble and works on loads (Top quality work and service). He therefore offered his place up as a meeting point for the meet on the 27th.

I spoke to him briefly yesterday and he said we could meet any time we want. Baring in mind some people will be driving from a far, does everyone think a meet time of 10am is good?

Once there we can have a chat and take in a couple of laps. Then take a hoon somewhere. As suggested i think the place I mentioned before sounds good. Mike if you can think of a good route up there give me a shout as I haven't a clue!!

If everyone can agree a time I will give Matt a shout. Once confirmed i will place the list of attendees back on the thread and ask for anyone that isn't attending to delete their names, just so that we know how many are going to turn up.

Mike give me a shout on email if you want and I will give you my tel number to sort the route out.

I might be off the net for around 24 hours as i'm trying to back my computer up for the second time, pants.

I suppose we could do a range of meets.

I could possible meet people at the M25/A3 north bound BP service station, then meet others at the Junc 14 M25 on the industrial estate where we met once for the flooded hoon and then meet others on the M1 someware?

Not sure what you mean Martin, we met (organised by Humpy) at Junc 14 heading to Horton, Trident Industrial estate.

As it will be the weekend it will be quite.

Also for those wanting to meet around the M25/A3 I would suggest it be done at pains hill after the M25 turn off if on the A3 (I onlt say this as for me coming the other way up the A3 I would have to go a long way past the BP services in order to turn round and come back) The Pains hill Option gives easy acces from the M25/A3 in both directions (its only 1-2 miles from M25), Just a suggestion.

Anyone travelling down from the North, I will be joining M1 at Junction 31. Not met you guys before but sounds like a good day out. Anyone fancy meeting in the region of Donnington services (Junction 24) and travel in convoy from there?

Damn. I've just realised I have double booked. frown

We have a trade stand at 10 of the best at Elvington.
Gutted.

James, I will still go and recce a decent rat run for after Brunters and get the details across to you with some alternatives so people can choose their preference on the day?

Sorry I can't make it guys, would have been nice to meet everyone.

Sounds like a good idea, I could meet up at Donington services and then travel down. We can arrange a time later on in the week.

Count me in - I'll be joining the M1 at J32 so could meet at Woodhall services?

Right I'm back, now that the computer has finally backed up correctly.

I will defo be up for meeting on route. i will be coming through Dartford after picking a mate up so will tag on to the pre meet with Bondy and crew.

Is everyone ok with 10am? I need to let Matt know what time to expect us all.

Just seen that Mike can't make it, which is a shame, but that he will give me a shout with possible hoon routes!!

Once I have an idea I will attempt to print the possible routes off for the day so that people can choose the best one.

Shall we start a list of defo attendees and another thread for the various pre meets on route??

Rob, it is the 27th, not a track day, just a meet at Brunters, then a hoon and some food.

James, thanks for stepping upto the mark. I am gutted, clam is all eady for paint, just having major issues with the paint mixed with the ppg code being no where near the original color.
So having to get it matched the old fashioned way.
Clam is looking good though...

Still an outside chance I might make it, will know next week.

Any objections to 11:00am at Brunters?
As it gives people coming a fair distance plenty of time to get there? Obviously if people decide 10:00 then no problem...
