So the question to be answered now has to be who has actually run out of petrol and how long was the gauge on "O" ?

240-250miles is fine for motorway stuff, although at 80mph you really should have a break every 2.5-3 hours, or 200ish miles, so why not just fill it up each time you have a break?

J
Dear Mr Joust,

Do we have to have a break after every 2.5hours of elapsed driving time or just when its all done in one 2.5 hour stint?
Both wink

sounds good, i was working my jouney back to germany out on the assumption that i would need to refuel every hour or so (like my evo and skyline did) seems that at sensible speeds that isnt the case.

looking forward to a return to germany at non sensible speeds lol smile

readit

Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 says 45 minutes every 4.5 hours for cab/taxi/professional drivers, which can be taken in 15 minute breaks, and hence one break every 1.5 hours tongue out

So no-one has run out of petrol.
If it's a 60litre tank, what's the most anyone has filled up with?
Any advance on 48 ?
