had a spare weekend so I made something new from carbon
Discussion
unfortunately I had an issue while i was making it and its ended up with surface pinholes and edges that will need a few extra coats of lacquer to finish it properly which I won't have time to do prior to my track day in May as I have a few jobs to do after I have fitted it
The good news is the weave matches the doors and front clam very well so should look good when its properly finished.

Andy I know you've said before that you're not interested in selling carbon parts but there must be a market for a main dealer to stock these in standard form. If you can churn out something that epic in a weekend it can't take long to do a short run can it?
I'm afraid I may have slightly exaggerated the time it took me to make it ;-)... Once I had made the mould (80+hrs over Xmas) I then spent 30hrs prepping the mould and a further 50+hrs making the actual part including trimming etc... If you were to buy a comparable part for a similar car it would be £15k upwards... Very unlikely there is any kind of market out there tbh.Happy to help others with advice, support and even demo it... But they have to put the time in to make the parts themselves :-)

Thanks, Tbh the paint finish is letting it down ATM Asti is full of pinholes, but need to get it together and
will get it properly painted late may.
